Use the black Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro from Apple to give your tablet a feel that rivals laptops. With its floating cantilever design, your 3rd and 4th Generation 12.9″ iPad Pro magnetically attaches to the Magic Keyboard for smooth viewing angle adjustments. Its full-size, backlit keys feature a scissor mechanism with 1mm travel for fast and quiet typing. The keyboard also has a built-in multi-gesture touchpad that allows precise interaction with iPadOS applications. A USB Type-C pass-through charging port is located on the keyboard folio’s hinge, freeing the iPad Pro’s port for peripherals such as external storage drives. Once you’re done, the keyboard doubles as a cover that protects the front and back of your iPad Pro.

I will always buy Apple hardware, mostly because of its longer shelf life. I guess that expectation of support from Apple makes the Magic Keyboard’s inability to work with previous OS generations feel like a super gotcha. Other than that, I like it.

I appreciate the functionality this adds to the ipad pro. I hope it has longevity as a case and keyboard. This will up my notetaking ability at meetings while still allowing me to remove the case to use the ipad for drawing. I wish I didn’t have to take the entire case off. Note that the case/keyboard does not flip all the way around and it must be taken off to use as a drawing tablet so the ipad then has to be used caseless.

Recent iPadIOS 14.4 release disables the DELETE key on this device. What a joke, $300 keyboard and my emails continue to go undeleted..

This is a great complement for the iPad Pro, if you want the portability of an iPad but a complete keyboard like a MacBook this is for you, I also have a MacBook Pro and I can tell the feeling is the same, very robust construction and confortable to carry, furthermore, in the near future the iPad Pro will share the same OS than the Macbook, so there’s more reasons to buy a keyboard and a mouse

Was using a knockoff bluetooth keyboard from Amazon for a while, it would constantly disconnect from bluetooth and random keys stopped working. So I bought this lil’ rascal, really like this magic keyboard, haven’t had any issue with it thus far. Easily squeezes into any backpack or totebag. The feel when typing is really high quality. Only downside is the price, but then again that’s just apple for ya.

….it connected more quickly to the computer (Bluetooth connection is lagging) ….the markings of the keys did not fade so quickly …. it lasted longer than a year (especially for the price).

I only recently received my unit but so far I’m happy with it. Note: the keyboard does automatically lock your Ipad in the landscape mode. You’ll have to unlock it to use in the portrait mode. One thing I dislike is there is no numeric keyboard (not a deal killer though. I love that it can be used as a carrying case although I elected to purchase another case that better protects the camera lenses from damage. As I continue to use my keyboard I’ll update this review.

I love how this keypad makes it easy to turn my iPad into a “laptop” feel. Only drawback is that I forget it only leans back so far and I have had the iPad come off the magnetic case. Other than that it’s been great.

I have been using Apple products since 1993, and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed. I purchased it to replaced my wired Apple keyboard that died after 10 years. I was surprised and disappointed to discover that to get to the bottom or the top of a Web page takes two keystrokes other than the single keystroke of my previous keyboard. Additionally, the keys are very cheaply made and noisy. I am also bothered by the fact there there is almost no tilt from the top of the keyboard to the bottom. I find this very uncomfortable for my wrists. Finally, I wish Apple would still offer a wired keyboard. To me, the wired keyboard feels more reliable and there’s no need to be charging the battery. Honestly, I really hate this little thing.
