Use the black Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro from Apple to give your tablet a feel that rivals laptops. With its floating cantilever design, your 3rd and 4th Generation 12.9″ iPad Pro magnetically attaches to the Magic Keyboard for smooth viewing angle adjustments. Its full-size, backlit keys feature a scissor mechanism with 1mm travel for fast and quiet typing. The keyboard also has a built-in multi-gesture touchpad that allows precise interaction with iPadOS applications. A USB Type-C pass-through charging port is located on the keyboard folio’s hinge, freeing the iPad Pro’s port for peripherals such as external storage drives. Once you’re done, the keyboard doubles as a cover that protects the front and back of your iPad Pro.

Now that I have gotten used to this keyboard after years of using an old Kensington USB keyboard, I really love the Magic Keyboard. Connects immediately to my Mac Mini and the battery seems to hold a charge for a long time. Perfect size for a small desk. Like all Apple products, a little pricey but worth it.

Some keys dropped dead after 18 months. I tried all the remedies I could find to clear dust and dirt but to no avail. It was a great keyboard when it worked, but for its price, it’s not worth it.

The keyboard itself is great. Although, it could use some function keys… or at the very least a function button to turn number keys into function keys (how obvious would that have been?) and an ESC KEY (hint: map capslock to ESC in settings). Other than that, Apple need to do some work on some of the hotkeys when using sidecar (such as Jump desktop has already done). The build quality, while surprisingly heavy, is superb on this keyboard. Time will tell, but it feels like a tank and has none of the MacBook Pro butterfly keyboard issues. I love typing on it. If Apple listens to customer feedback and adds a pencil holder, this is going to be a 5 star winner.

I’ve tried a lot of keyboards but haven’t found one that I really like except for my Macbook Pro’s internal keyboard. I’m really happy that I tried this one. It has the ‘Mac’ feel to it but the keystrokes are slightly longer which makes typing for me much easier than on any other keyboard I’ve tried. Battery life is really good, and it charges with a Lightning cable which I always have around.

Authentic Apple short keyboard which we are using as a wired keyboard not the bluetooth option. It would be cool if it included the powered USB outlets the older wired keyboard had, but, this keyboard is perfect for my wife at her standing desk where she has less space for the full size keyboard with numberpad which she never uses. I like the quality and use in landscape mode but portrait mode leaves much to be desired… in other words there is no way to easily use the ipad in landscape mode unless you detach the keyboard.
