Further improving the 11″ iPad Pro, Apple has added a few new advancements for upgraded performance, entertainment, and usability. Replacing the A12X processor, the A12Z Bionic has performance rivaling that of laptops available today, in addition to an eight-core graphics processor that handles everything from games to 4K video editing. Moreover, it’s still paired with a Neural Engine chip for advanced machine learning.
The iPad Pro’s display features the same Liquid Retina technology found on iPhones, and has a 2388 x 1668 resolution, ProMotion technology, wide color and True Tone support, as well as a 600 cd/m2 brightness rating. On the rear, Apple has added a 10MP ultra-wide camera, enabling different perspectives and multi-camera use. A newly added LiDAR scanner, which determines distance by determining light reflection, further readies possibilities for augmented reality and beyond.
With “Pro” in its name, the iPad now features five studio-quality microphones that capture clean audio and the quietest details. The combination of the pro cameras, audio enhancements, and its large display makes the iPad Pro a suitable mobile studio option for creative users. On the software side, iPadOS now supports trackpad inputs for an easier time navigating including mult-touch gestures. Lastly, Apple has opted for a USB Type-C connector rather than its traditional Lightning connector for additional features and broader compatibility with other devices.

This is my first iPad Pro and I just love it. 🙂 I started taking notes and writing homework on it. I can easily turn in a PDF without writing on a paper and take picture just for turning my homework in during this pandemic. I recommend this ipad for everyone. It is also a great learning tool. I downloaded many creativity apps and my quarantine live just got so much better… One problems is that time is not enough now cuz I spend too much time using my iPad for learning and having fun. 😛

Sweetening the deal was B&H’s $50 discount, which Apple wasn’t even offering. Can’t go wrong buying this model if you can afford the extra cost over the lower priced versions.

While I love Apple products I can no longer support them in light of their slave tactics and extremely poor employment practices over seas. They should be more than ashamed, they should be investigated and prosecuted. Just because they make fine products they should not get a pass on human rights and fair labor practices.

This iPad is very much improved from my aging 1st generation iPad Air. It’s much faster, & has a vastly improved display. The surprise came after I received it. Think you have much improved performance over the previous-generation 2-year old iPad Pro? Think again. The reviewers first discovered only minor performance improvements — what was up with that? It turns out that Apple is using the same processors used in the last generation iPad. The only difference was that in the last generation, they turned off one of the available cores that has now been enabled! Two years ago the designed as leading-edge processor & crippled it a bit so they wouldn’t have to design an updated one. Come on Apple — I (falsely) believed they were above that kind of gamesmanship. I guess not. Marketeers rule Apple too. As usual — great B&H service.
