Now featuring an all-screen design, the Space Gray Apple iPad Air has a 10.9″ Liquid Retina Display with a 2360 x 1640 resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi). The Liquid Retina Display still has all the features you expect, such as P3 wide color gamut coverage, True Tone, anti-reflective and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coatings, 500 nits of brightness, and support for the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil (sold separately). The screen isn’t the only thing that got improved. The iPad Air now houses the A14 Bionic chip, providing the performance boost you need to handle 4K video editing, play immersive games, and more. There is also 256GB of storage capacity.
The iPad Air now features a 12MP rear camera, the same one found on the iPad Pro. The rear camera can be used to capture high-res photos and 4K videos. The iPad Air also has a 7MP FaceTime HD camera as well as stereo speakers when in landscape mode. For connectivity, the iPad Air features dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0. You still get Touch ID with the iPad Air. It is now integrated into the top button. Touch ID uses your fingerprint to provide a safe and secure way to unlock your iPad Air as well as log into apps and use Apple Pay. Apple has replaced the Lightning connector with a USB Type-C port on the iPad Air, allowing for additional features and broader compatibility with other devices.

Yep… I said it, an Apple product is a good value. Well, it’s a good value for an apple product. If you are looking for a mostly do it all tablet that runs IOS this is a good choice. I recommend for the processor and the size.

Purchased as Christmas gift for my sister. She already has a macbook pro but the iPad Air is even more portable and perfect for her to take quick notes and for sketches. Reading the news and magazines is also more enjoyable on this device than on macbooks or iphones.

I once owned the first iPad from Apple. More or less a boat anchor. However this iPad model is orders of magnitude better. Besides the very light weight and slim thickness, this iPad is very fast and in some ways noticeably faster at what it does than my 2016 MacBook Pro. This pad is a joy to use. I mainly just use it for email, web and watching video (MLB baseball games and I’d note the MLB app is just terrible and takes great patience). Overall I highly recommend this 4th generation iPad Air.

I use big brother for playing music or on the occasion when I use it a wannabe computer. The 10.9 iPad Air is so much smaller and gets used for reading and entertainment. The fact that’s is fast makes it a joy to use. Having two iPads in the house allows for more harmony.

Two days before Christmas I told our granddaughter that we will not be able to Facetime with you because the iPad that I ordered would not arrived till after Christmas. I had been thinking about the 11 iPad Pro when the 4th gen Air was released. I’m very happy with my decision to go with the Air. Good battery life and great performance. I also like that it has USB-C rather than a Lightning port. I usually go for grey Apple products, but this sky blue was on sale. It’s a great color. It’s more silver, with a hint of blue, than I was expecting … which is a good thing in my opinion.

If you are on the fence and thinking whether or not to upgrade from an older iPad, I would strongly recommend to upgrade. Switching to this iPad from an iPad 5 was pure joy: beautifully fast processor, gorgeous screen, fast battery charging, and an attractive new design. I have nothing but good things to say about this iPad. Life’s too short to wait for a slow CPU. Buy it. You will like it. I can almost guarantee it 🙂

B&H had a great sale price on the almost Pro iPad Air 4. I replaced my older iPad Pro 9.7. Yes, the Pro has a few minor advantages, but they mostly apply to people who use iPad for audio and video work, which I do only on my desktop computer. I bought the 256GB version because I like to backup my photos to my iPad when traveling. (Hopefully traveling will happen again soon!) Be advised that this iPad uses a USB-C connector (NOT the old familiar Lightning connector), so you may need a few new cables / accessories / adapters.
