Now featuring an all-screen design, the Silver Apple iPad Air has a 10.9″ Liquid Retina Display with a 2360 x 1640 resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi). The Liquid Retina Display still has all the features you expect, such as P3 wide color gamut coverage, True Tone, anti-reflective and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coatings, 500 nits of brightness, and support for the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil (sold separately). The screen isn’t the only thing that got improved. The iPad Air now houses the A14 Bionic chip, providing the performance boost you need to handle 4K video editing, play immersive games, and more. There is also 256GB of storage capacity.
The iPad Air now features a 12MP rear camera, the same one found on the iPad Pro. The rear camera can be used to capture high-res photos and 4K videos. The iPad Air also has a 7MP FaceTime HD camera as well as stereo speakers when in landscape mode. For connectivity, the iPad Air features dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0. The iPad Air also supports LTE Mobile Broadband, allowing you to connect from anywhere you get a signal from the carrier of your choice (data plans sold separately). You still get Touch ID with the iPad Air. It is now integrated into the top button. Touch ID uses your fingerprint to provide a safe and secure way to unlock your iPad Air as well as log into apps and use Apple Pay. Apple has replaced the Lightning connector with a USB Type-C port on the iPad Air, allowing for additional features and broader compatibility with other devices.
This iPad Air comes preloaded with iOS. Please check your device settings for the latest available update.

She is enjoying it since our older iPads are so dated and can no longer update

This device is amazing. I needed a secondary device to my computer that i can take almost anywhere without losing too much functionality and this is just perfect. Price is a little steep, specially if you plan on buying any accesories, but if you like the iPad Pro’s design this is the one.

I’ve had iPad Minis before and used them every day. Wanted something bigger for consuming media, especially videos and PDFs that benefit from a larger screen. This iPad Air is a beautiful device. As expected, the larger screen size makes reading PDFs and watching movies much more pleasant. Setup was super easy, picking up settings from my existing iPhone and iPad Mini. I’m still adjusting to the size and weight. It’s great on the tabletop or in the lap on the couch. Holding it in bed to read takes some getting used to. Since the bezel is very thin, need to hold by the edges when reading. For the 256GB model, the price starts to approach iPad Pro 11, so do a careful comparison of the features and pricing. Overall, I’m very happy with this iPad Air.

My first iPad is an iPad 2 (still working wonderful but fewer apps as they do not support the IOS version). Now, with the 10.9 iPad Air 4th Gen, I am back to leaving my office and going around and have all I need with me. What a relief I can carry my iPhone and iPad Air and be light and fully efficient!

when I was looking to upgrade my iPad, I wasn’t sure, iPad Pro or iPad Air. Would the air be good enough, would the pro be worth the extra money. I picked the air. I was not disappointed. Only improvement would be the base model having 128gb to start.

I purchased this to replace my aging Air 2. It is a nice upgrade. The larger screen is great and the fingerprint reader in the power button works remarkably well. Hopefully it will last as long as my Air 2 which I handed down to my daughter.

B&H had a great sale price on the almost Pro iPad Air 4. I replaced my older iPad Pro 9.7. Yes, the Pro has a few minor advantages, but they mostly apply to people who use iPad for audio and video work, which I do only on my desktop computer. I bought the 256GB version because I like to backup my photos to my iPad when traveling. (Hopefully traveling will happen again soon!) Be advised that this iPad uses a USB-C connector (NOT the old familiar Lightning connector), so you may need a few new cables / accessories / adapters.

Upgraded from iPad Air 2nd Gen that was showing it’s age. Migration process needs improvement. Most stuff carried over but process got hung up when it came to previously installed Apps and Photos. Had to reinstall Apps individually, transfer Photos through cable and reorganize Photo Albums because they didn’t transfer. Setbacks aside, I’m excited to work with this iPad going forward.

The display is phenomenal, if you are considering it, just do it. I have been an android user for years and so happy I waited for this gen before dipping into Apple iOS. The experience is wonderful! However, sidecar to macbook took some serious trouble shooting– even with the latest M1 macbook and the latest iOS on iPad, there was still a bug I had to work around. Otherwise flawless!

I decided to buy the iPad Air after getting back pain from reading with my laptop. It’s a nice machine but still too expensive for what it does along the measly 64gb storage capacity. Plus it’s made in China .
