Not really any surprises with this purchase. It was exactly want I wanted and expected. I do really like the Space Gray color. However, with my protective case, the back color is sort of meaningless. If you can’t find this iPad in the more popular Space Gray color, and intend to also use a protective case, don’t sweat it.

At this point, if you dont know what an Ipad is, I guess you need to check to ensure you haven’t traveled from a time in the past when Ipads were not in existence. Otherwise, this purchase went exactly as I expected it to. My wife and I bought these in order to upgrade our kids kindle fires which were beginning to not keep up with their demands. When faced with the decision to do another round of Kindle Fires versus these IPads, Apple’s ability to support their hardware past a couple of generations ended up being the icing on the cake.

Really powerful tablet. It could easily replace any low-mid budget laptop.

I was once a firm believer that a tablet isn’t something useful – especially if you already own a desktop, smart phone, and a laptop. I was SORELY wrong after deciding to try out the 8th gen iPad. Sound quality is great, and the 10.2 is nice and vibrant. The battery life for this iPad is phenomenal for it’s screen size. For the price, this was an excellent purchase for a first-time buyer! It’s extremely-lightweight, and very useful for doing tasks that would be a bit cumbersome on your smartphone (e.g. having a recipe open while cooking, reading an eBook, checking email). This tablet’s processor is very impressive, as I was able to navigate from app-to-app without as much as a hitch. You can also have multiple apps open at once and interact with them on the same screen using the multi-tasking feature.

This iPad is a great improvement over the one I had for 8 years. I am 75 years old and use this for my exercise classes, steaming, keeping in touch with my Grandkids, playing games with Grandkids and friends, and keeping up on news. My old one was failing and I did not want to lose the enjoyment I had in contact with Grandkids and friends. There were changes but I over came them and have everything I had before. I would enrage anyone that needs to enjoy life to get an iPad and stay in touch.

B&H offered the lowest price for this just released IPad. Including the free shipping and the no tax using the Payboo card, makes this a steal.

I love this IPad. Its perfect. It still has a headphone jack and the button for turning on…..and I LOVE the gold! It was a surprise to me how pretty it is. I’m going ahead and buying a keyboard with bluetooth to use with this magical item! And, by the way, its always GREAT GREAT GREAT to order from B&H….these people are a COMPLETE PLEASURE!

My order arrived damaged. The company sent me mailing labels and then replaced the item once it had been returned. I’m most happy with the customer service I received

My use of an iPad is simply as an internet appliance. My 3rd generation iPad is glacially slow and can no longer be upddated. With Covid-19 I am now reliant on Zoom and Face Time for connecting with friends and meetings. My new iPad is a perfect match for my needs.

I ordered the Apple 10.2 iPad 8th Gen, 128 GB. A USC-C charger was included. I also ordered the Logitech Slim Folio keyboard cover. They arrived on schedule in the same box. They were well packed and showed no flaws or blemishes from handling. I was surprised to find the iPad half charged. My wife has an early iPad but this was my first one; I was surprised at its light weight compared to the older one. I plan to use it mainly to research and write documents around the house and on the go. I’ve been using it for a week and so far it works very well. My main complaint about the iPad (OS 14.6) is its incredibly antiquated split-screen feature. I can only open two windows side by side, and then with difficulty. I can only resize the screens by sliding a divider back and forth, which seems very finicky (maybe it works better with a stylus). I would like to be able to open, say, a Google Doc in one window and a Google Sheet in another, and arrange them on the screen as I please. Maybe I’m missing something, but I’ve seen similar complaints elsewhere. This split-screen feature seems so incredibly un-Apple; it reminds me of my 1980s Kaypro II and its cp/m software. Otherwise, I’m well pleased with the iPad and Slim Folio. I find my medium-size fingers can touch-type on the small keyboard without difficulty and I think the keys have a good feel.
