We ordered the new filter replacement a couple weeks ago. After replacing the filters and letting the water run for about ten minutes, it seems that the filter works but the water taste funny. The water doesn’t taste as clean as when we originally installed the filter.

It is definitely more durable and better to use than the last water filtration system I used. … but there was some problem installing a replacement filter the second time I had to order a replacement. One of the filters was not going in properly so Aquasana had to send me another, and that worked out fine. Not sure what was wrong with the other filter, but at least I was able to resolve the issue.

Installation simple, Tasted water after running water for 10 minutes water never tasted better. Tasted exactly the way I wanted. No foul taste or smell. Searched online till I found this AQ4000. Compared it to practicly all other countertop water filters and decided on the AQ4000 because it appeared to be the best filter and the best buy. Very happy I purchased it, it works Fantastically.

The only trouble I am having is to remove the old cartridges. The plastic nut is getting worn out and the suction inside the filter is so strong that it’s hard to remove them.

We have had aquasana counter top model for somewhere between 8 and 11 years. The automatic refills come on schedule and we have learned how to change them easily. A fine product. The only improvement I wish for is an increase in the time it takes to fill a glass.

I always have to get someone to change the filters as they are put on too tight and need to be (or theyll leak) so it’s kind of a pain in the you know what. shouldn’t have to be this difficult.

I stopped trying to replace the filters and I buy a new system every six months. It’s actually cheaper right now by 2 bucks for the filter system. After the first filter change if you can get the covers off, they will leak or the tabs will break off or the socket stud will strip and be unusable or you can’t get the hose disconnected to use the socket stud, been through it all. I have never had success changing filters so for me this is the best option. Aquisana told me if I joined water for life then I would get replacement parts for free. So if something breaks on a filter change I have to call them and then weight a week for the part. No thanks, I did that one time and my wife was not happy we had no filtered water to drink. As for filtration, it’s great. I love this filter for that. Makes the water taste great removes a lot of contaminants as advertised and removes odor. That’s why I stayed with the Aquasana countertop filter.
