filter seems good but output doesn’t leave enough clearance if you own your own shower head w/hose. filter has to be tilted on an angle for the hose to hang properly

Easy installation is the key which I think is due to precision manufacturing process. Particularly, no leak with normal torque to turn tight. I suggest that a “window” or “indicator” is designed with the shower filter body such that user can see how much the filter has been used. This is just like the beeping sound in the drinking faucet water to alert user to have replacement. Saying 6 month of life time is too rough for this shower filter. Auqusana shouldn’t count on a user to remember the length of filter use. It should be another innovative way to do this and also as a competitive marketing approach.

We are most interested in chlorine removal. Organic chemical removal is just a plus ! These units work well for this. And while we have used this filter for a shower head and it installed and worked fine, our current use is under sink cold water supply. The water taste great, the flow is fine and as it supplies water to our ice maker, the ice tastes good too!—we also use a second unit to supply water to our RV. It works well here to as a small “whole house” water filter. Again noticeable chlorine is gone.
