Resolved the leaking problem after calling the customer service. It works OK.

Would have given 5 stars, undercounted nut is too small for installation, had to find thicker nut to install tightly.

This is the second water filter I’ve installed (used another brand previously), so my impressions are sort of based on that previous experience. Installation was fairly easy, the instructions were very thorough. Took me about an hour for the whole installation, and that included removing the old water filter. As far as the hardware is concerned, I wish the base plate for the faucet that is used to cover up the hole in the sink was just slightly wider, and that a hand-tightened fastener could be designed for securing the faucet underneath instead of a regular hex nut, to make it easier to tighten in tight spaces. The flow rate was a little slower than I expected, since this particular filter is advertised as “max flow.” When I first turned on the water after installation, the flow rate seemed quite fast, but fell off after the filters were flushed. Based on my experience with the installation, I expect changing the filters will be relatively easy, but we’ll see. Until then, I can’t give any feedback on how long the filters will last.

The biggest problem I’ve had with filters in the past is the water flow; it always is so slow. This unit is much faster. It’s also very simple to install and use; the alarm feature to remind you about filter change time is most convenient and you don’t have to guess anymore. Very pleased and would highly recommend.

After moving we bought another under sink. This time high flow. Well worth it. Plumbed for both the sink spigot and the fridge (ice tastes great!) We’ve had Aquasana for over five years now and it is strong value for our family.

I like the product very much. Good design and water tastes very clean. My only issue was the poly hoses that come with the kit were too short to properly install at the side of the cabinet, requiring it to be installed on the back wall where it is hard to reach the filters. If they had been 12″ longer each, then I would have given it 5 stars.

The water here in Kingman is absolutely horrible tasteing but after installing the Aquasana 5300 the problem was solved.Water tastes so much better now, I’m glad I invested in this filtering system, well worth the money. The unit is compact and easy to install. I like that it comes with it’s own faucet and the filters are easy to change.

So far, the filter has been operating fairly well. I got the max flow version and it does have a good flow but the head and sump system need to be evaluated. The first sump heads I received leaked a little bit at first and customer support was fast to replace them. The new heads also leaked but with some adjustments, I got them to stop. It was a few drops here and there. Nothing crazy. The design looks good but here are my suggestions if the company cares to read them:1. Improve the way the sumps sit in the head unit. It doesn’t seat securely and the use of the grommets seem like you could get a more secure fitting.2. Don’t be afraid to use copper. Copper expansion rings/joints are way more secure in the lines than metal ones would be. Or upgrade it so the water in and water out use standard water lines. I’d gladly pay the difference if it meant less leak chance. 3. quality check improvement needed desperately on the sump heads. Two grommets/o-rings were warped before i even inserted the sump and that caused some of the initial leak. Or send some extra o-rings. They cost pennies but would probably help with the leak issue. It won’t fix it because the interlock between the head unit and the sumps need to be addressed primarily. Fix these issues and youll probably get much better reviews and happier customers. 4. Find a way to get air out of the filters. Sometimes air from the water line gets in and slows the flow but when I burp the sumps, water flow is restored.

Get a couple of tools ready, open the package and in about 20 minutes, presto you’re drinking clean, safe, delicious water. Over the years I’ve always installed filtration systems in our homes and even our 5th wheel RV. This system is hands down the easiest to install and there is no more taste in your water. Water should be crisp and refreshing not flavored. Stop your search. By this inexpensive, easy to install filtration system now. You’ll be glad you did. OH! And the best part, save money by getting on “auto-ship” and go worry free from now on.

So far, I’m not impressed with the quality of the Aquasana 3-stage Under Counter Water Filter. I’ve had a GE two stage system that I thought provided better tasting ( no taste ) water. The Aquasana system removes color from tap water but total dissolved solids are still high (320 ppm) and still some taste.
