Installed the water conditioner about 3 weeks ago.Installation was not complicated. My installation was done outdoors in the sun.I painted it to protect it and the piping to protect it from the sun.The water feels and behaves less hard.I would recommend the SimplySoft Salt-Free Whole House Water Softener

This is a good value for the money. The hard part is that I’m not handy enough to install it myself and it was very difficult to find a plumber who would install it at a reasonable price. Now that I’m past the installation, the use should be pretty easy. Ask me again in a year and I’ll tell you for sure.

Has been in operation about 2 weeks, still evaluating.

Bought the system to avoid the salt type softener. Been in about 6 weeks and seems to the be working well. We don’t have deposits on shower head or fixtures. Dishwasher seems to get a little deposit on the stainless. We have very hard water with calcium and manganese salts.

We conducted extensive research and settled on the Aquasana for our high rise condo in Cape Coral, FL, where the municipal water is deplorable. Our local plumbing contractor recommended and installed the Aquasana Whole House system in a small water heater closet. We added the Sterilight UV Filter, and pre, post, and micron filters. The water taste is excellent – as good or better than any bottled water. We’ve also observed a noticeable improvement in the laundry, shower, and no hard water deposits/spots on the glass shower doors. The system is far superior to salt based and reverse osmosis systems as it does not waste water in the process. We are completely satisfied with our purchase.

Having a well, couldn’t believe how much sludge was being filtered out. Replaced water softener with Aquasana 600. My morning coffee tastes so much better and I have stopped buying bottled water.

I hired a Master Plumber, and he was quite surprised that your connectors were only threaded on one side. He has to glue and tape the non-threaded connector, and we had a slow leak that finally stopped after 1 week.

We had hard water with scale build up, it is simply gone, not much better than that!

I installed it myself, though I have plumbing experience. I do not necessarily recommend this as you absolutely do not want any leaks. It was straightforward and took me about an hour to cut and spice into my existing water line. I had no issues, but I am very meticulous when it comes to plumbing. It has only been a month, so I cannot comment yet on the descaling effect of the “softener”. My water comes from a deep artesean well and was already of high quality except for the minerals. I do like that it has not changed the “feel” of my water that you see with traditional salt softeners. It does seem that the “pre-filter” has reduced the amount of sediment I sometimes see in my water. I like that I can change this filter inexpensively more frequently when I need it. I have no complaints and am optimistic it will do exactly what I was hoping for. I also thought it was a good value given the longevity of the “softener”.

We have had this installed for 2 weeks now. It does not soften the water the same way a salt-based system does. However, my wife has noticed that her hair feels better after washing. However, the main reason we purchased this was the de-scaling feature. We discovered that it worked yesterday when we made jam. Previously, when boiling water to sterilize the jars the water became cloudy, the jars had film on them and the pot had a white ring around the edge. Yesterday, that was all gone. We were both just amazed.

We already have the whole house filtration system, which is working fine, and then my wife asked me about getting a softener (water in Jax, FLA is really hard). I went straight to Aquasana and shopped. I knew I didn’t want to haul salt, so I read the description and reviews for the whole house water conditioner. I purchased the item and had it professionally installed. OMG! What can I say; you won’t get out of the shower, you’ll start eating ice (without a drink) you’ll use less detergent, and most importantly, she loves it too. Try it, you’ll see…

Don’t use the supplied 1″ to 3/4″ adapters included in the kit…they leak even with Teflon tape! Instead, get the brass ones from your local store, they are super expensive, but won’t leak. However… very easy to install if you have basic plumbing and/or mechanical skills. I have a tiny utility room and had to be creative with the install, but was easy to set up.

This product is without a doubt the most ecologically friendly unit on the market. We could not be happier

I have had the whole house system for 6 months. So far everything is good. Only remark is that I have a hard water well and the product will still leave hard water mark/calcium buildup on appliances and showers.

I’ve just finished installing the Aquasana EQ-AST-WH whole home water softener system. It works well, however, I’ve not yet done any water testing.

We started using these units to reduce the scaling effects inside the steam canisters of humidifiers in our labs. The humidifiers are necessary to maintain proper production environment to eliminate static electricity problems in our operations . The canisters were loading up with scale very fast and they are expensive to replace. We needed something that would reduce scaling without actually removing too much of the mineral content, because the steam process is electrolytic and needs the minerals in the water to maintain conductivity. By pretreating the water supply line with these units, our scaling problem is greatly reduced.
