After six weeks of use there is a noticeable reduction in the scaling that we have been getting on clear plastic glasses. Too early to determine if there is a similar improvement on faucets and shower heads. If that also occurs this product gets a “5”.

Our regular plumber recommended this system in the most enthusiastic manner. He had installed several of them with universal satisfaction from the customers. The change in the quality of water taste was immediate in all taps, as was the efficiency of washing procedures throughout the house, secondary to addressing the problem of extremely hard water. However, the best surprise of all was the gradual clearing of blockage and sluggishness in all of the water accessories, that had obviously resulted from the hard water. Without further treatment with CLR or like products, refrigerator ice makers, toilet valves, shower heads, tap nozzles, dish washer and washing machines all began to lose their strange strangled outlet constriction and sound due to the hard water deposits. Flow became silent and fluidly efficient as they were originally designed to do. It is an amazingly efficient system, and worth every cent of the cost. We will be recommending it unconditionally to all of our friends and relatives.

Installation was a little time intensive but if you refer to the diagram and can operate a hack saw, a pair of channel locks and a can of glue it’s an easy process. We recently moved into a new home in Florida and, in addition to the tap water not being close to “drinkable”, it also tested as hard as it could have. We even gave our dog filtered water from the frig because the tap water was so bad. Immediately after I installed the Aquasana-Simplysoft Whole House System the water tested as soft as it possibly could have and the tap water tasted as good as any bottled or filtered water we’ve ever had and is crystal clear. The fact that we don’t have to add salt water regularly is a nice feature. We also have not noticed any difference in water flow or pressure. As long as the system lasts as long as they say it should, this will be one of the best investments we have ever made.

Bought over a month ago. Great water taste, but hard water stains on dishes still an issue. Also, the design of the pre-filter and post-filter installation hardware leaves the unit VERY tricky, because they don’t line up with the larger tanks. Small leaks are nearly impossible to avoid.

I have been wanting a whole home water treatment system for years and finally got one for our new home. I love that when I take a shower I’m not itching everywhere from city water and there seem to be little to no water spots/etching on the counters. I was concerned about our water pressure and all seems good. We have a 4 bathroom home but just 2 of us living here. I would not run the dishwasher, take a shower and do a load of laundry all at the same time just in case. When we have company coming for the holidays I’ll need to watch the shower schedule etc. to make sure pressure is still good. I paid a great plumbing company to install, they did a great job and replaced some of the pieces. It took a few hours and be prepared to pay $800 – $1000 for install. My girlfriend in Northern California paid the same. It’s worth it! I also went over board and had purchased and RO system for under the sink before I knew my husband would agree to the whole home system so we have awesome drinking water too, not to mention our ice cubes no longer smell and taste yucky. 4 stars because you do need a plumber unless you are super handy.

After installation there was an immediate change in our very hard (18.87 scale) water, as well as the elimination of chlorine taste and odor.
