The Replacement Post-filter attaches to the Aquasana Whole House Filter system, after the filter tank. This post-filter is considered a polishing agent, removing any remaining sediment and organic particles from your water. This cartridge should be replaced every nine to twelve months.

The key to this system is the installation. Get a good licensed professional plumber. Make sure it’s installed with the proper bi- passes, for example: watering plants or washing your car. You don’t want to use filtered water to do that.All in all, it’s a great system, my wife and I love it

This is a great system. I would add one thing to your upgrade package A Gallon meter. nothing fancy I check out a couple other water treatment system (salt yuck) Most of them has a meter of some sort built in that only let the unit regenerate when either the max gallons have been used or low water pressure. I installed my own gallon meter and a chart. Now it’s as easy as looking at the meter to see what needs to be changed Filters or tanks. I got a meter that goes to 1,000,000 gals. Everyone uses a different amount of gallons each month. With the gallon meter you know when to change things out No more changing to early or to late. Just my thoughts

I had not changed the post filter of my whole-house system in almost a year (I think it should be every six months). When changing new for old I noticed the old post filter had black splotches all over its outside. Yuck!

I like the new filter and it is working great, and the water is fine. However concerned with the poor quality of the fittings that are used to install the Aquasana system. Every time I change the filter the fittings start to leak and I have to call a plumber to come and stop the leaks.
