The Replacement Post-filter attaches to the Aquasana Whole House Filter system, after the filter tank. This post-filter is considered a polishing agent, removing any remaining sediment and organic particles from your water. This cartridge should be replaced every nine to twelve months.

I’ve had the system for over a year now and find it to be very reliable filtration system. There is no real maintenance other than changing the filters when necessary. It does take some time to figure that out. I initially went with the factory recommendations for changing but quickly determined that my water was such that need more frequent changes but it’s still cheaper than salt and I saved THOUSANDS compared to a salt system.

This is my second Aquasana Whole House Filtration system. It provides my family peace of mind because the filtered water that can only be beneficial to one’s health. For DIY, the installation is a bit involved but do-able. It requires some plumbing, initial flushing of the filters, and transporting the heavy units to the installation site. A professional would do it more easily.

All over the house filtration pre and post filter. We have filthy water and it is so much better now does not smell like a swimming pool in the bathrooms. Water is soft and tastes good especially with reverse osmosis in the kitchen which we could not install until the water is filtered becuase our city water is ohhhhh soooooo bad!!!!

It is a filter, hard to judge that one aspect of the overall filtration system. I wish they were cheaper then what they currently charge but the expense is not that bad. I have the well system, and it seems to work great. It is nice to have confidence to drink my well water without worrying about contamination.

As I was replacing it I noticed that the threads on the post filter housing are broken. The rim is very thin there. As a result the post filter housing has developed a leak. This is just a few months after the prefilter housing cracked and I had to order a replacement. I’ve also noticed a cloudiness in our water lately and it hasn’t improved with the replacement (pre and post) filters. Aquasana started out good, but the quality seems to be going downhill recently.
