I like the product; however, I would recommend that customers bite the bullet and have it installed professionally. It is trickier than the Aquasana videos suggest and boring a 1″ hole in my quartz countertop was not fun. As for the purification system, it works beautifully.

I seen some reviews about leaks but in my opinion that would be caused by not installing correct, if you don’t have experience with plumbing hire a reputable plumber to install. Make sure you do not overtighten fittings. Got hooked up with no leaks and filter works great. Pretty good water flow for a 3 stage filter. Took the chlorine taste out and made water taste pretty good.

I have an ice maker line that needed to be attached and Aquasana couldn’t/wouldn’t provide an extra piece of hose and extra fitting. So I had to search until I found the correct pieces and then order them on line. Very frustrating. You’d think Aquasana could have made this common part available. Also, even though this is the “Max Flow” version, it’s pretty slow – and getting slower after one month of use. Water tastes good.

For now, I will keep it at a 3. The installation should have been easy, however the Spacer was too long for me as well (which has been reported by other customers as well). The water tastes good, seems to remove hard metals and the installation was easy otherwise. They should either provide a small spacer in the package or provide instructions for sawing it if required. Also, the pipes need to be cut square and inserted almost an inch, otherwise it will leak. I would also recommend installing an RO shut off valve, considering there is too many pipe connections.

Installation was not too difficult but I recommend reading the directions a couple of times and familiarizing yourself with the parts prior to starting the install. The water quality is great and the only con is the amount of water that is wasted to produce the clean water, 3 cups wasted for every cup you drink. After enquiring about it, I was told this is the most efficient RO system on the market. Apparently some have ratios as high as 20:1. It would be nice to know this prior to buying and installing but there is no mention of it anywhere on the website.

The filter is installed and is working properly, though the they substituted a fitting that was suppose to connect the water line to the faucet but the fitting fit the RO vent line instead of the water line fortunately I was able to use the fitting from the unit I was replacing.

The installation is straight forward, and have good water flow once connected. Though, I find the two hose provided in the package is a little too short, and I was not able to put the filters to either side of a corner cabinet. Also the filters can get unlock quite easily, which causing water leak if you bump on the filter unexpectedly.
