This is the cutest! I can actually make rice. I thought/think people who need rice cookers just lack… something. I don’t know. I just have never had a problem. But, since the thing I lack is motivation–I can be lazy. This gadget makes plain white rice just as well as I can, and I don’t have to pay it any attention. Yay! And it makes exactly the right amount for me. Growing up, we were excited when mom made a dinner with rice, because that meant rice for dessert. What do I mean, you ask? We all loved having rice with butter and brown sugar for dessert. Simple, cheap, and yummy!Okay, so I won’t be eating all three cups of rice for dinner and dessert… maybe… but I have heard that large rice cookers don’t do small amounts very well, and this was a beauty. I also enjoy rice blends, and although I haven’t tried it yet, I think it’s going to be equally as useful, since I have to admit I sometimes… just sometimes… have trouble with them.The interior pot seems a little flimsy and I worry about how long it will last which is why I dropped the quality and value down a star, but don’t let that deter you, especially given that this can be used almost like a little slow cooker. You just have to make up your own recipes. They promote you can do it, but sadly don’t help you out in that department.

If you’re looking for a tiny Rice Cooker-this is it. Quite adorable in size-counter saver in fact. Does a decent job in cooking but it is very small. It says only 1.5 cup capacity of rice with water it doubles. Yes it does but since it is on the smaller size you can’t prevent the rice from sticking or burning because there really isn’t enough room in it to stir without making a mess. Made rice pudding and mac and cheese in it. Found it to be extremely tedious. This isn’t a set it and forget it-found myself tending to it so much that I could have made it on the stove-at least I would have had stirring space. Truly didn’t realize how small this is when I bought it. I would say perfect for a single person with no more than 1/2 cup of rice or pasta to really enjoy it and use it properly. I did find it really easy to clean-super plus for me but I don’t think I’ll be using it very often-maybe for just a quick side dish like pasta or rice. That’s about it for me.

This Aroma 3-cup Mini Rice Cooker makes just the right amount of rice for my meals and very well too (white rice on the “White Rice” setting). It also helps make better brown rice (with “Brown Rice” setting of course) than ever before. I’m not sure why but my brown rice never comes out right (i.e. sticky, dry, etc.) – that is, until now. And that’s good since brown rice is better for you than white rice. I have also used it for soups – that “keep warm” setting does a great job. The next time I’m in the mood for grits, I think I will give this cooker a try for that too. It’s one of the smaller kitchen appliances I own so there’s another positive. Cleans up well in the sink but is dishwasher safe too.

small size, max 1.5cup (the cup that come with it is little smaller than the old one i used from panasonic), if you cook 1.5cups, it will spit from the air hole on top and spill a little on the counter, make sure you use it on easy to clean surface. i cook brown rice everyday, i am happy with it, especially for this price and the size.

I did not realize the powers that be, AKA Sweetie Pie was going to change our eating habits after 48 years of marriage!!! So, I have to decide if PERFECTLY COOKED RICE is more important than “Happy wife, happy life!!”. Well, that plus she does all the cooking!!!!THEN!!! I opened the box and found the recipes of some of the stuff you can make besides rice in this rice cooker!!!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!! Keto, you ain’t stopping me yet!!!

This compact, simple to operate, easy to store, and sleek looking kitchen gadget cooks rice perfectly following the measurements and instructions included. Cooking rice in a saucepan is iffy, and cleaning the pan afterwards is a chore, the starchy remnants stick to the sides and require a lot of elbow grease to remove. The mini rice cooker pan is as easy as rinsing to clean, makes it so easy to make rice. I have not tried any of the non-rice recipes but can imagine this cooker as a real hit in a dorm room. One minor negative, the graduations on the measuring cup provided are not so easy to read the when it has dry rice in it.

It makes white rice and brown rice very well. It is very small. I think it is good for a single person. I tried a few of the recipes that that were included in the booklet. The “creamy corn egg drop soup” was very easy and pretty tasty. The “one pot mexican quinoa” was good too.
