The patent-pending Saute-Then-Simmer Technology allows the rice cooker to saute foods at a high heat and automatically switches to a simmer once liquid is added; perfect for the easy preparation of a wide variety of stovetop classics and when the cooking is done, the stainless steel inner cooking pot and all accessories remove for easy cleanup in the dishwasher. Brown rice takes forever to cook, and if you try to steam veggies while you cook they will cook and the rice will be so waterlogged you have to run it for additional cycles. I like that it has a steel pan, but the time it takes to actually cook is far longer than smaller less expensive appliances.

I am very satisfied with this rice maker and makes the rice asgood as the teflon Love the fact it’s stainless steel pot and yes it does get stains at bottom of stainless steel pot from rice but that comes out with Brillo no real issue. And I have no more worries with the teflon coating issues.

Was searching for one that was not chemically coated and did not have a plastic steam basket which gets stained by tomato sauce and spices.Rice will stick to the bottom but remedied that by coating the bottom of the insert with olive oil and stirring the rice once the cooker beeps that it is done. It cooks and steams very well and the color scheme of white with steel looks great.Would have rated it 5* instead of 4* due to it being made in China.

Aroma rice cooker is my first rice cooker. It cooked the rice perfectly and gave it a nice chewy texture which I have never achieved using a regular pot on the stove. A bit of it got crunchy on the bottom which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I will try some non stick cooking spray next time.
