I would have given the staples an excellent rating but not in my stapler. It can also use a 1/4″ staple which is preferable, but couldn’t get them from Arrow/Home Depot for some reason. I have tried other brands of 1/4″ but doesn’t work in it. My Arrow stapler is 35+ yrs. old. 5/16″ works though.

5/16 legs with a 7/16 crown and galvanized!? Good staple and will hold moderate wind speed loads on large hanging shade material. With material end folded over anchor point and stapled. Have used this mode of applying shade material and making up of canvas dust covers for shop equipment. Works great and no rust marks on any of the material. Have discovered stapler and staples from the same manufacturer works much smoother with good reliable results. This staple crimps well and does not lose galvanized coating at staple bend into crimp. Works well on cardboard when attaching two pieces of cardboard together. Don’t recommend a third layer of cardboard though. A tad much with staple pulling through under light stress loads. Works very well for my intended outdoor use around the house.
