I intended to use nut/bolts on a project, but my son suggested I try rivets. I had never used them before so I bought Arrow’s one-handed riveter. I was impressed with the ease the color coded heads matched the boxes of rivers of various sizes, and initially I was impressed with the operation of the tool. However, after a dozen or so rivets, the tool would no longer grip the shafts on the rivets. Based on some YouTube videos, I tried cleaning the mechanism of any debris using WD-40, but I was unsuccessful. My project came to halt and I have to decide whether to convert to my original nuts/bolts, or buy another riveter and cross my fingers.

This tool works well for me. I bought this tool for a small project at home. I inserted about 30 rivets without any problems. But I wish that it could handle 1/4″ rivets.

Works very well one handed, easy to change nose pieces, built solidly. The included instructions say nothing about how to adjust the adjustable stroke, however, so you’ll need to go to their website for complete instructions. Complete instructions including the fact if it takes more than 2 pulls to set your rivet you’ll have to re-open the handles all the way and get a fresh grip. I have a feeling a lot of bad reviews could have been avoided by just including full instructions WITH THE PRODUCT.
