Take your online gaming performance to the next level with the ROG GT-AX11000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Gaming Router from ASUS. Boasting a total aggregate data throughput of up to 11,000 Mb/s and eight external antennas, this tri-band router supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for data speeds up to 2.53 times faster than the Wi-Fi 5 standard.
The ROG GT-AX11000 comes equipped with a 2.5 Gb/s WAN/LAN Ethernet port, as well as a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, and two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 ports for sharing files or devices across the network.
Compatible with ASUS AiMesh Wi-Fi routers, the ROG GT-AX11000 supports 4 x 4 multi-user MIMO, which allows the router to transfer data with multiple devices simultaneously. The router also supports a series of ASUS technologies that help to ensure gaming data packets are prioritized on the network.

Maintains internet connection. Performance is OK. Wifi range is disappointing.

This is the best router. So much better one than I just had.

I’m disappointed with it can’t connect well on AI mesh with AC5300. Dropped connection on proximity to 5300 and issues with WPS print setup. What a pain!!!

I love this router and it was easy to install. The only negative is that it only has 4 network ports. You’ll have to get a nice switch if you want to connect more items.

Good range in a 2000 sqft ranch style home. Good speed. AI security is a plus with web alerts to let you know if someone is accessing your system. Ability to add mesh net work will help if we want service in our back yard. Highly recommended.

Awesome, except for one thing… only able to get wifi 6 (ax) on 2nd 5ghz channel. If I connect to either of the others, wifi 5 (ac) is best I can connect at. Really don’t understand that nuance… have tried tweaking all the settings.

Took some time to figure out the best settings. But customer support was incredible. Love my aimesh router system

Awesome, awesome router…..asus makes some of the best home consumer products that money can buy, this is a great piece of hardware through and through

Powerful device, mesh option works well, good UI. Implementation of WPA2 seems a bit flaky, I see quite a few WPA2-enabled devices that are unable to connect. Sylvania Smart lightbulbs in particular have a hard time synching up with this router after a reboot.

This router is the very best. It covers all of my home and it is quick and affords me several address

I was hoping this would have better range than my RT-AC68U. I tested thoroughly with my laptop and iphone. The effective range is about 1 foot more. AIMesh is terrible to setup with this router. It works normally when you are within range, but doesn’t provide any benefits over a RT-AC68U. I just want a solid no frills router. Oh well, I bought the expensive router once so I know not to do it again.

This route absolutely rocks. All of the features you want to keep your network screaming.

Two of these routers in an asus mesh via ethernet backhaul is absolutely amazing. Wifi 6E is still too new and way too range limiting so really no need for that for years to come (plus I prefer it be a quad band that can use 160mhz bandwidth). This router gets amazing range and speed especially if you use the DFS channels in 160mhz. I also really like that now you can use the merlin firmware to get more customization and tweaks. Plus this beast looks cool in a room with the RPG lights!

So far so good. I’m impressed with all the features and the quality of the this piece of hardware. It keeps up with all of my smart home appliances, and devices.

Takes a long time to re-establish some soft of wifi connection. Much faster to use cellular data. Additionally, physical throughput is terrible, and drops frequently. Lastly, Asus tech support is awful, apparently everything has to go to the seller for support.

Best router I’ve had hands down! Super fast and has never let me down in a game yet!

With the increased number of WiFi clients increasing above 30, my old RT-AC87U was dropping out clients regularly. Needed a way to divide up bands to have fewer clients per band, AX would certainly help. I meshed the router with a ASUS RT-AX56U AX1800 as slave through Ethernet. 1G Modem was on the AX11000. I’m getting almost full modem speed at the Ethernet port of the slave. Devices roam without issue between the routers. No more drop outs. All WiFi clients at excellent signal strength now. Setup was easy. Nice iOS app for quick checks. Few things to improve: Maximum HDD size on the USB is 4TB. Had a 5TB drive I could not use. Setting up DDNS (via Google domain) still work in progress for me – could not make it work so far. Could be simplified.

Do not by this if you are incorporating a synology NAS to run your Plex server. Spent days sifting through message boards and technical support with Synology and Asus without success. Synology quickconnect stopped working as well as Plex remote access. Error message, Network error occurred. Please check your DNS and Network. Save yourself the hassle and buy the Netgear Nighthawk AX12; worked with very little configuration, easy to understand setup and excellent app interface experience. I have returned the Asus ROG GT-AX11000 and am in the process of getting my refund.
