Take your online gaming performance to the next level with the ROG GT-AX11000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Gaming Router from ASUS. Boasting a total aggregate data throughput of up to 11,000 Mb/s and eight external antennas, this tri-band router supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for data speeds up to 2.53 times faster than the Wi-Fi 5 standard.
The ROG GT-AX11000 comes equipped with a 2.5 Gb/s WAN/LAN Ethernet port, as well as a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, and two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 ports for sharing files or devices across the network.
Compatible with ASUS AiMesh Wi-Fi routers, the ROG GT-AX11000 supports 4 x 4 multi-user MIMO, which allows the router to transfer data with multiple devices simultaneously. The router also supports a series of ASUS technologies that help to ensure gaming data packets are prioritized on the network.

I have two GT-AX11000 routers in an AIMesh configuration with a CAT6 backhaul. The wired backhaul keeps 100% of the wireless bandwidth available for wireless devices. The mesh network fills in a couple of weird dead spots that I had (happened with other routers too) and also allows for hard-wired connections for my entertainment center downstairs and in my office upstairs. I have a 600Mbps Comcast connection that regularly gets between 8-900Mbps. My wireless devices are getting right at the same speeds as the wired desktops. My home is a 2500 square foot two-story on a third acre lot and I have solid 5GHz WiFi 6 coverage in every corner of my house and yard. I was amazed at how many devices we have on or network when I counted them up. (which is easy to do in the router’s interface) Between TVs, phones, pads, laptops, Roku/Fire sticks, multiple Alexas, Ring devices, Apple watch, DVD/BlueRay – You get the idea… they really add up! We will often have streaming on multiple devices, browsing and gaming all at the same time and these routers handle it without a glitch. TBH – I know that the setup I have is overkill and I could have built out a solid network for a lot cheaper but it happened in stages and just grew into what it is. I really wrestled with buying the second AX11000 when I knew that other, less expensive, Asus routers would have worked just fine. Now that it’s done however – I couldn’t be happier with the performance and feel good about having a network which will last well in to the future

After AiMesh issues with another ASUS router, I purchased a 2nd AX11000, and it has not disappointed me yet. The seemless network transition and AiMesh has eliminated previous dead zones in my house. I am very pleased with the results and how the network has performed.

Replaced a AC66U and wow this router is awesome. Definitely worth the investment as I’m sure .ax will be around for a while.

This is a great router for non-gaming environments also. The built-in AiProtection Pro is just one of many reasons to have this router in homes, small businesses, etc. It is designed to defend the network from external attacks and threats, helping to protect your network from attacks and intrusions.

I really like this router. It has been out long enough for all the bugs to be worked out with firmware and quite frankly it runs fantastic. Tons of features, including a user friendly app. I would buy it again for sure.

It was a breeze to set up! No more dead spots on either floor and we get full bandwidth on each corner of the house plus out on the deck and driveway!!

It is very strong when it works but the wifi can be weird with the air mesh.

Couldn’t get to work consistently in the net mode. Tried using it as the secondary tried using it as the primary and either way it did not work well with my existing ASUS router -kept getting locked up. But it seems to work fine as a standalone unit.

This router is awesome to say the least. If you are tacky or geek or game player and have the skills to manipulate the speed needed for gaming for work for fun then don’t be intimidated by this router. Setting up this router is easy changing its settings can be a challenge but rewarding. It’s worth the money if you have the need for speed no pun intended.

I upgraded from rt ac87r. I have 36 devices. The new router is an incremental upgrade and can hamdle all the devices. I plan to add an air mesh unit to obtain better coverage. I had hoped this unit alone would cover all my iot with the 2.4 but it does not.

With QOS running your speed will slow. So if you are having issues with speed turn QOS off.

Definitely buy it. Look, its expensive because its a beast. In soze and performance. but man i get signal 2 houses down. I was cautiously optimistic when i went ahead and bought it. Since using it i dont know why i ever hesitated. Asus has never let me down. i have thier routers, coolers, and motherboards i dont know why i didnt expect awesome from them. It is definitely a gaming router if you dont game save your pennies there are cheaper options that will likely do fine. however if you do game take my word it’s well worth it. I registered 882 mbs on wifi from my desktop (farthest room from router) with 1 smart tv using netflix, 2 ps5s on cod, and xbox x on fortnite, All the proof i needed. I definitely made the right choice. Runs at a constant 952 mbs when i have the house to my self. And i pay for 1 gig. No complaints.

From the day I got the router I had nothing but problems with my internet. Actually trying to get my money back for the product.

Very inconsistent. Detaches devices randomly. Sometimes, you can get 700 MBPS from the Router/Ap and other times maybe 10 Mbps. Other AP on the SAME exact switch – same place (Engenius) gets perfect functionality. Too many grammatical and spelling errors in the application. Most apps don’t even work or do not explain how anything works and I have over 2 decades of experience in setting up APs and Routers (Enterprise and SMB). Seems like Firmware is Alpha AT BEST!

I found the update to the OS interface Fantastic. But the wireless speed was not better than i could get with my old Ac-5300 router. I worked on channels, bands, wifi 6 connections and each setting i could find but could not get the speed over 350 mb. I have 1200 MB download speed, fiber service.
