Add additional storage to your system with the Hyper M.2 x16 Card V2 from ASUS. Using an empty x8 or x16 PCIe slot, this card provides you with four PCIe M.2 slots with up to a 22110 form factor. For the best performance, you can configure NVMe drives in RAID for data transfer speeds of up to 128 Gb/s. At the back of the card are four status LEDs and a fan power switch, which it uses in combination with its heatsink cover to keep your drives cool and prevent throttling.
The Hyper M.2 x16 Card V.2 is Intel VROC-ready for X299, Z370 and Z390 Series motherboards, using Intel SSDs only. Using AMD Ryzen Threadripper NVMe RAID, it is compatible with X399, X470, B450, X370, and B350 Series motherboards. The maximum number of M.2 SSDs supported may vary depending on the CPU.

I am using it on a Truenas machine with 14 Cores CPU. It is the only expansion module that could get maximum speed. Integrated Cooling system. I use SAMSUNG EVO and it can handle up to 3.2GByte per second per NVME module…. super fast.

So far I’ve only got one extra M.2 installed, but this card feels rigid and can definitely keep your cards cool. The built-in fan is a great addition, and not to mention the thermal paste on the inside for your cards.

I bought this to go with a Samsung 2TB 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 Internal SSD. Works great with my X299 Motherboard. I use it for video editing and it has 4 bays for future expansion.

Very easy to open and install my M.2 SSDs. Use an x16 PCIe if you have one available on your motherboard for optimal performance.
