Got this guy after having issues with internet connection from streaming and gaming. I set this router up in five minutes, it’s super straight forward and easy. I have two Xbox One’s, one Playstation 4, three computers and three phones all tapped into my wireless and I have had 0 issues. No drop in bars, no drop in connectivity. This router rocks!

These guys do stuff that you only see on commercial routers. I love these little routers…. They are good routers, good access points and actually very good repeaters. Very good product.

I like the router and easy to set up. Will recommend to everyone.

Replaced our Dlink DIR-655 wireless router after years of poor performance and technical issues. So far have found the ASUS to be very function rich although like most AUSS products documentation isn’t their strong suit.

I bought this product to replace my Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router. After installing my new router I performed several speed tests. The ASUS RT-AC68U router more than tripled my transmission speed for both uploads and downloads. Customer support, however, was disappointing. I was having trouble implementing the USB file-sharing feature. I called ASUS customer support at least 3 times to discuss this issue but no one I spoke to seemed to have the knowledge or expertise to resolve the problem. I eventually solved the problem myself by researching the issue on the Net.

Even during the Coronavirus Pandemic, I ordered this on a Monday for the same price as Amazon was selling it, but you offered free expedited delivery and even with Amazon Prime they were saying 3-4 weeks. I ordered it on Monday and got it on Thursday. Incredible service. Thank you. I set it up right away and it was easy to setup and has been working great all over the house. Much better and faster coverage in our basement and other corners of the house. I would recommend the device and your company. I remember ordering photo stuff from you back in the 70s and 80s, and you are still going strong and your service is still top notch!

The best out there in my opinion. Easily accepts DD-WRT.

I bought this router on Amazon. I bought it at B/H, which is cheaper than Amazon. It will be bought here later. The router feels good to use!

Waited a long time to replace my 8 year old Netgear Router and was impressed by the many glowing reviews about this ASUS Router. Installed easily and all my network devices were connected quickly. But… Every aspect of this router seems slower. Web pages load slower, mobile phone and tablet take much longer loading news apps. Streaming to TV sets now have occasional “picture shredding” which I never had in the past. Maybe I misread the description but I thought I was buying some of the newest, fastest and most secure technology but the box is clearly marked with a September 2013 Editors’s Choice C/net award sticker. So my new technology is already 5 years old. Thought I did the necessary research. Guess not.

You get what you pay for. Wireless: tip-top speeds and having dual band is nice. Ethernet: gigabit as promised. Reliability: two weeks of heavy traffic and going strong. UI: decent and easy enough to configure. Haven’t seen a need to flash to tomato or dd-wrt. Currently have it paired with an ASUS modem and things have been consistent, reliable, and fast, which is about all one can hope for.

For years I was using a 5-year old N-class linksys wireless router and mistakenly accepted the notion that reception on floors above/below the unit would be significantly slower (down to 8Mbit) than same-floor line of sight (20Mbit). I switched to the AC68U and now my entire 3-floor house (2500 sqft) is bathed in 50Mbit service. The 2.4ghz network is very good at penetrating floors; the 5ghz network less so – as expected. Setup was very easy. My older n-only devices work just fine.

I had two RT-AC68U wireless routers in service as AiMesh hubs in my wireless network. Both failed at the same time. They ceased to communicate with the network and prevented log-in to the master router so long as either of the RT-AC68U were energized.

this is feed back on the support you get…why would the put paying customers through the hell of long waits on the phone, getting dropped off the call while waiting repeatedly…and then getting someone who knows less about the product then i do….i have read reviews on top of reviews and the one thing that Stands Out as a Red Flag is ASUS Support will and is a backside to deal with.Sure you will get products that break down and have to be replaced….but the hell you have to go through to get them to finally accept the damaged goods is not worth dealing with…. Good Products…Worst of the Worst support.I even contacted then about the bad ratings on support…you would not believe what the rep emailed me back…and i quote ….he called those of you who had bad experience with support..Trolls and haters…oh yes he said you are all Trolls and Haters because you cant get good support from ASUS…..in each correspondence he blamed the customer and called you all Liars!

I had one Asus RT-AC68U as my main router, but I had to cover 9,000 sq. ft. in my audio/video facility. I had tried access points and extenders from Netgear but they just didn’t get it done. Plus with them I had to have three different SSIDs for clients to worry about. When I read about AIMesh it seemed too good to be true, but it wasn’t. I bought two SC-1900s from B&H and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set them up. I put one at the East end and one at the West end of my building. I plugged them in and turned them on. They popped up on my iphone Asus app along with my main router. I simply clicked to make the two new routers nodes to the main router in AIMesh and voila! It worked. Now I have all bars WiFi coverage over my whole 9,000 square feet and only one SSID for all of it. I couldn’t be happier especially with how easy it was to set up. Wish I had done this years ago when it first came out. The iphone app is the key to making it easy.

I had to return this item to B and H because, even after hours on the phone with Asus Tech support, the item would not properly work. Halfway through the set-up process it had to be restarted again and again and then after all the work, only the wifi and worked and not the wired connection. Returned it and exchanged it for the much cheaper same specs Linksys which worked like a charm out of the box and for which set-up was a breeze! Would give no stars if I could!

Purchased as an upgrade for a 802.11n router, which didn’t have reach to all parts of residence, and for increased speed. The RT-AC68U nicely filled both needs, and was reasonably priced in my opinion. Very easy to set up, manual included as well as available online. Performs as expected – no negatives experienced yet.
