Wonderful upgrade from a circa-2012 Netgear WNDR4500. The Asus RT-AX3000 has zero problems keeping up with the entire household’s computers, mobile devices, and smart switches / TVs / thermostat. Coverage is much improved in our 2,500-sq-ft home. If needed, it’s compatible with Asus AiMesh. I like how connections can seamlessly transition between 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz. While we only pay for a paltry 15 Mbps Internet Service Provider connection, this router squeezes out every bit of it and makes it seem much faster.

Our previous router provided an intermittent signal which provided a signal when it felt like it. The Asus RT–AX3000 gives us a signal throughout our entire 1,500 square foot house. There are no buffering issues and loading speeds seem fast. The setup was relatively easy although I wish that Asus would provide its own YouTube video guide for installing the unit.

Super fast and easy to set up, and super reliable. I have not had any trouble with this or my previous ASUS router. I upgraded to this RT-AX3000 when I started working from home and upgraded to 1.3 Gig internet, my old RT-AX1200 router was not as fast as my internet speed once I upgraded.

Very complex interface with many many features options for advanced users. The initial set up is very dump in my opinion as an advanced user but can be skipped by going to http://192.168.50.1/index.asp Solid WIFI 6 Performance for 9 WIFI devices and 12 wired devices. Returned my TP link 6000 that had a wifi drop issue even with latest firmware. ASUS firmware updates are very regular thus bugs get fixed much faster. No perfect device out there but this one does offer stability.

My original DSL modem/router was provided by the Frontier phone company so I don’t have a lot of experience to compare this too. However, I’m very pleased. It installed easily and connecting my devices went better than the old router. In the past accessing other device on my LAN was often difficult. Now it works easily. The WiFi range has been greatly extended. My old router’s firewall was primitive and blocked desirable things like Windows time sync. Now all that works. I also like the idea that there are firmware updates because I know that in the future things will require changes to keep up.

Great little router! Don’t be fooled by it’s size. I live in a 2500 sq ft house. I have great coverage, even outside. Very easy to set up and great app! You can’t go wrong.
