Additionally, the RT-AX82U supports ASUS Aura RGB lighting that can be customized with a variety of dazzling effects. A USB 3.2 Gen 1 port is available, which allows you to connect devices such as an external storage drive to share throughout the network.

misleading information on best buy and asus website. both state that this is a usb 3.2 bit it is not. it is only 3.0. Oh and the review wont let me add the picture to prove it.

I purchased this router to replace a problematic Nighthawk RAX80. The RAX80 would not stay connected to my AT&T Pace modem (Gig E). It took multiple daily reboots to stay connected. Since installing the RT-AX82U, I’ve been up and running without any interruptions. Setup and connection was quick and easy. I also got it to work with my EAX20 range extender. So far I am very pleased with the equipment. The Asus app for android is a very good product as well.

This router is amazing! It covers at least 3000 sf with full signal. I am not a gamer I own a small business and I have to have a fast router that was WiFi 6 capable, this was a perfect fit. I have tried many other routers in the past some are good, and others have issues but this one beat them all. I have around 18 smart devices including DVR/Surveillence system that struggled to stay connected to the other routers, but with this one, it connects fast and staying connected. If you are looking for speed and steady connectivity then you are looking for this router.

Very good 5ghz strength and range, but the 2.4hgz is terrible. Constant connection issues no matter what setting I use and I’m using the latest firmware.

My Netgear router had the 5Ghz channel completely stop working (it was only 1.5 years old!) and resetting to factory did not fix. Decided to try an ASUS router. WOW. Easy to set up. Gained 40mbps on wireless download speed (compared to the Netgear one). Netgear wireless speeds (5ghz) ran around 170mbps consistently. New Asus router download speeds are consistenly 210mbps. The online user interface is very user friendly. It’s only been 2 days since installing it but so far it’s a winner. Hoping that it will last much longer than the Netgear router did.

Very strong main router for aimesh. I have 2 more aimesh routers hardwired and a 4th router as a wireless mesh point (provides hardwired internet to a PC and TV). I have a 2-story house with basement. Signal is extremely strong everywhere, which is MUCH better than my setup with Netgear orbis was. The new ASUS routers are hardwired in the same positions the orbis, but the aimesh routers pierce walls with 2.4Ghz WiFi much more effectively. No more dead spots!
