Based on the Ampere architecture and designed to handle the graphical demands of 1440p gaming at high frame rates, the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 OC Graphics Card brings the power of real-time ray tracing and AI to your PC games. The GPU features 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 256-bit memory interface, offering improved performance and power efficiency over the previous Turing-based generation.
The front panel of the card features a variety of outputs, such as DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1. HDMI 2.1 supports up to 48 Gb/s bandwidth and a range of higher resolutions and refresh rates, including 8K at 60fps, 4K at 120fps, and even up to 10K. The RTX 3070 is not just about high-resolution gaming. Computationally intensive programs can utilize the GPU’s 5888 cores to accelerate tasks using CUDA and other APIs.
For cooling, ASUS implemented triple Axial-tech fans, providing improved airflow and dispersion.

Tried to purchase from several stores, without success. The B&H waitlist process worked and I got my turn fairly quickly. The first time I assembled it in the PC Cabinet, it did not work… I figured out it was not making proper contact with the PCB, due to a metal bracket that was a bit proud. Once I removed the bracket, everything was fine. Tried running Davinci Resolve studio (NVidia codec) and Topaz sharpen. The Graphic card made a huge difference to performance. Moreover the CPU ran much cooler. Exactly what I wanted.

While these units are in short supply, integrity and fairness seem to be in good supply at B&H. These days, most other vendors other than B&H, seem to prefer to scalp or offer words without integrity. B&H, please stay that way! The board works nicely as advertised.

Paired with a Ryzen 7 it purrs like a kitten 🙂 No issues with games, sadly not many titles really use RTX effectively.
