The VP228QG 21.5″ 16:9 FreeSync LCD Monitor from ASUS delivers high image quality within a classic, elegant design, thanks to SplendidPlus and VividPixel technologies, plus a slim profile. It has an anti-glare panel featuring a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 with a 75 Hz refresh rate, Twisted Nematic (TN) technology, support for 16.7 million colors and 72% of the NTSC color gamut, a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, an ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio of 100,000,000:1, 250 cd/m2 brightness, and a 1 ms (GtG) response time. Using the 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position. This display has one HDMI port, one DisplayPort, and one VGA port. The DisplayPort and HDMI ports also support audio, which can be output using the dual integrated 1.5W stereo speakers, and there is also a 3.5mm audio input jack.
ASUS has engineered the VP228QG with support for AMD FreeSync, which helps to eliminate screen tearing and choppy frame rates, as well as their Blue Light Filter to emit flicker-free images with low blue light levels. To further help improve viewing and accessibility, the display features a vertical tilt of -5 to 20°.

I looked for a smaller monitor, one for my bedroom, for general service. A TV Tuner, a Blu-Ray, and of course a Computer. A computer that, if I can figure out how do it without selling my home and without working for Microsoft for nothing, develop some more software. Even if it is just for me. So this one is small, 21.x inches. Good, that is just right for what I want. Anything else? Yes, I have an ASUS VA27EHEY, what is it? 27 inches. It uses LED display and one of the reasons I choose the VP228QG is it used TFT display, I wanted to see the difference. Also, VAx is ‘?’ Watts (look it up for yourself and be surprised, and the VPx is 16 Watts, not much more than the other, bigger one. Neither of them have Line Out-Audio, which is a big disappointment. I had to scour the country side to find a 3 Input:1 Output switch that provided separate Audio Out. The VPx has speakers and Line In, but, alas, no Line Out. I am prepared, the bigger one doesn’t have Audio…Period. Already found the solution over about a month. Got two of them…in case. Case Is: Affirmative. I’m taking care of business…my way…preparing for the same problem, again. Got the fix. Errata: Your documentation shows that Model VP228QG comes with Headphone Jack. It does not. Unless it is a different Model in that Model Line.

Great monitor for everyday use. B&H did say it came with specific cables but it did not come with all the cables. Reached out to support and they took care of it.

I contacted B&H before I ordered and asked specifically if this monitor has Display port cables. They told me it did, and when the items came, it didn’t come with Display Port Cables. I have tried to contact B&H multiple times and they have only contacted me back once, informing me to check the packaging. Nothing that actually helps me. Also, Yes, I have checked the packaging.
