I use this monitor on my desktop computer at home for work and play. For work it is clear and crisp and plenty bright enough for me to see every detail that I need to. For play it displays the games I play brilliantly, with no tearing or other artifacts. The blacks are near to true black and the other colors look true as well. Excellent monitor, definitely a step up from my old Samsung 226BW.

I spent some time comparing monitors and after considering cost and value, this was the right choice for me. This monitor is a great choice for anyone in the market, from the average web-browser, to the movie watcher, to the Gamer. I bought this so I could watch movies withough squinting as well as play pc games and not stare at a gigantic screen. It is the perfect size for me. Very clean looking, and if you get it wall mounted, you have the perfect setup. I give it 5 stars.

Got two for home use on my gaming rig. I enjoy watching HD movies, shows and playing games. Color and response are great, I can barely notice any ghosting. Very crisp picture, and a lot of screen real estate. The colors in games and just browsing in general were noticably more vivid than my previous monitor. Amazing price. The stand is wobbly, which you’ll notice if you type with a heavy finger. There is little adjustement in terms of angle, and no height or rotation adjustment, but of course this was known before the purchase so it is not a con. I plan to get a dual stand or mount them on the wall, so thesea are not problems for me. A stickler might note some slight backlight bleeding. It’s very faint (bleeds perhaps a centimeter from the edge of the screen) and only visible during very dark images. It would have taken me a while to notice if I did not know to look for it in the first place. Coming from my previous LCD whose backlight bled like it was a main feature, I am hardly bothered. Overall, I am more than pleased with this model. The price:quality ratio is outstanding. I would recommend this monitor whole heartedly for anyone from the casual user to hardcore gamer.

I bought 2 of these. Pretty decent screen for a good price. They do take a little bit of tweeking to get them looking good initially, but once they are adjusted, they look great.I use them in a dual monitor setup/home recording studio.

I created digital mini-comic books of my Super-Powered Characters at http://www.alpha-level.net with Manga-EX5. My old monitor was a 24 inch Soyo Topaz that was notorious for blinking black/filling black from bottom to top of screen, contrast and resolution issues. I checked out YouTube reviews of this monitor … which were fantastic; regardless of sleep mode issues with Windows 8.1. I use the 10 minute sleep mode for BOTH PC and Windows 8.1 settings with no issues. I LOVE THE CLARITY OF THIS MONITOR & THE COLORS!!! I am HAPPY I made this choice. My art is much better thanks to this ASUS VS248H-P monitor.
