The AS6602T can reach sequential read and write speeds of up to 588 and 583 MB/s, respectively, using link aggregation in RAID 1. AES 256-bit encryption helps to prevent unauthorized access to and breaches of sensitive business data, while a Kensington Lock slot allows users to physically secure this NAS enclosure. The ASUSTOR Lockerstor 2 AS6602T runs on the ADM 3.5 operating system and is compatible with Windows XP and later and Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, and 2016. Purchased this Lockerstor 2 NAS about 2 months ago. I chose to install a pair of 6TB Iron Wolf HDD’s. (Adding up to two M2 SSD drives is an option if desired). So far the unit has demonstrated great performance. Setup was easy and straightforward. The interface and apps for configuration and monitoring are also easy to use. As experienced in previous purchases from B&H, the service was perfect.

This NAS is pretty solid but the instructions can be improved. The manufacturer assume you have some knowledge about server setup and that is where problems arise. The hardware is solid and performs well. Just the software needs a little more development. I would recommend this product though.

I purchased this essentially to backup files and share media throughout the house. It works great for this and I’ve had no problems. It’s essentially plug-and-play for basic use. To stream to your TV via the included HDMI takes a bit of fiddling but not a lot. I am not sure how much use I will get out of that feature except for home videos and some older movies from my DVD collection which aren’t widely available on streaming services. Still, it’s there if I need it.
