I was buying 3 or 4 gallons of water a week, but using all that plastic was really bothering me. Since I am spending so much time at home now, I decided it was worth investing in this water cooler and boy am I glad I did. The water is SOOO cold and the hot works great, too. I am saving so much room in my recycle bin, too.

After about a month I noticed some of the self cleaning indicator lights did not work. I contacted Avalon directly and my customer service agent was Michaela. Michaela was so professional and courteous. After going over the issue I was having she started the replacement process. I received prompt emails through out the process, and a follow up after I received the new water cooler. Avalon and Michaela have been great. I would highly recommend Avalon to anyone who wants to purchase a water cooler. I love the self cleaning function, I generally do it once a week on a Friday night when we go to bed. The cold water is very cold, and the hot water is very hot and steaming not just warm, makes a great cup of tea. I try to remember to turn the hot water off at night to keep the electric bill down. I also love the light on the unit, no need to turn the kitchen light on. This is a nice looking unit and I would definitely only buy from Avalon again. I am very happy with the customer service and the product itself. Thank you Avalon and Michaela.

No issues with set up. Be mindful that the cold water may take longer than 1 hour to reach the correct temperature. I think it took 2 hours or more but less than 3 and then indicator light went out. Be patient. Overall I am happy with purchase.

The unit is easy to setup but the cleaning process (required every 6 months) is a bit of a chore. The hot water heats quickly and to a high temp but the cold water dispensing is louder than other brands. Overall it seems to work fine so far.
