The Avalon Self Cleaning Bottleless Hot/Cold Water Cooler is made with innovation and style. The cold water is approximately 47° F and the hot faucet is approximately 185° F. Due to the extremely hot water, we’ve added a child safety lock on the hot water faucet. This water cooler is bottle-less with an NSF certified activated carbon filter (listed as Avalon A4FILTER) and a sediment filter (listed as Avalon A5FILTER) in the cabinet and a water line that can be attached to your water source. The tanks hold 1 liter of hot water and 3.6 liters of cold water. The filter will purify the tap water eliminating any chlorine, lead, rust, and bacteria. There is also a built-in leak detector to automatically monitor the water flow from the water source into the machine. We have incorporated a self-clean ozone function which will automatically clean the machine’s water tank with the injection of ozone by the press of a switch. The water cooler is UL listed and complies with all standards of Energy Star. Setup is easy and the unit can be connected directly to your existing sink water line. All parts necessary for installation are included. The dispensing area is 10×2.5×9.5 inches with 7.5 inches of space below the spouts. This will accommodate most large cups or bottles. The unit dimensions are 13″x12″x41″.
- INSTALLATION KIT: Full installation kit consisting of 20′ of 1/4″ tubing, 3 way plastic 1/4″ push connect adapter, under sink 3/8″ adapter with shut off valve, filter flushing adapter, and detailed instructions with illustrations.
- DUAL FILTRATION: Dual filters are included with the water cooler. This consists of a Sediment filter and a Carbon Block filter which will last 6 months or 1500 gallons.
- BOTTLELESS: Our water cooler is bottleless and will reduce the cost of constant purchases of water. The water is filtered with our dual filtration system consisting of a sediment filter and a carbon block filter.
- HOT & COLD WATER SPOUTS: When you use our water cooler dispenser you can choose between a Crisp Cold & Piping Hot Output, making it ideal for cool refreshments or toasty beverages.
- CHILD SAFE: Our water cooler dispenser is UL/Energy Star Approved and features a child safety lock on the hot water spout so the entire family can use it worry free! Your children will not accidentally burn themselves!

So far so good – 4 stars because we have only had this up and running for 1 week, so I can’t speak yet to durability. I installed this product at our small office, and everyone is raving. This was the best compact option for water filter with hot and cold dispensation without a big, clunky water bottle for a good price. We did not want to give up too much counter space in our small office kitchen. Our hot water so far comes out hot, even at the first pour of the day, which I think was what our tea drinkers were looking for. The cold is not ice cold, but cooler than our tap could provide, plus filtered. Despite flushing the filters before installation, I picked up a strange taste the first day or two, but this seems to have worked out of the system. I did have to make a couple trips to the hardware store to connect to an existing counter top water line (see pictured behind the kettle) and cap one of the outlets on the under sink adapter. The installation manual provided in the box was NOT HELPFUL for me! Use the online video from Avalon for installation. Also, when at the flushing the filters step, you push in on the PVC tube connection to release the PVC tube after flushing – this was the only helpful tidbit from the paper installation manual.

So far this seems to be the perfect solution to those monthly charges for an outside company to have cold water on hand. I do want to say this though, the couplings that are given to secure the hoses to the filters are not very good at all. They leak extensively unless you rig them with something else that holds them in place. We have ours rigged with a clip so that the hose does not leak. Avalon may want to re-access the couplings and find something that is better suited.
