I bought this pack of blades, for a large home repair project (church group fixing-up an elderly woman’s home) mainly due to their price (about a buck a blade) which is quite a savings compared to competitors. Like the two main competitors (both which have predominantly RED color schemes) the blades are Swiss-made, and come in a good assortment (wood, wood-w-embedded nails, metal only). These Avanti blades were of a slightly thinner gauge metal compared with the other brands of blades. Blades were used to cut treated lumber, untreated lumber, EMT, plastic flashing, and even a few tree branches. Blades fit and functioned in a number of different brands and models of reciprocating saws, corded and cordless.Only time will tell how durable they are.

These seem to be trying to compete with Diablo (at least in Home Depot stores), but they’re definitely a step down in price and quality. They’re fine, but not great.

These blades fit easily into my reciprocating saw. I used them to cut off the roots of a small tree I took out. I had to use two of the wood cutting blades because the first became dull.. I don’t know if a more expensive set would have lasted longer
