If you want to use this product on a drill, angle grinder or most motor driven tools, this product is great. It has worked well on my angle grinder, very durable and will remove anything that I have tried it on. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a five is, it will not work on my 8 inch bench grinder without resorting to shems or spacers (it’s too thin).

Although the arbor size was correct for my Chicago Electric bench grinder, the wheel was too thin and would not secure to the shaft without utilizing several shims on the retainers. Once secured, it worked fine.

I purchased this wire wheel at the store for my new 8″ grinder. It cut through the build up on the bolt threads of the engine I was going through. I gave it a GOOD rating since it threw a few wires as soon as I turned on the grinder. Other than that, it did a great job.

i bought this for my new 8 inch harbor freight bench grinder. the price was the lowest i had come across ($8.00). the wire wheel spun smoothly. there were a number of wires on the sides of the wheel that were bent outward…but only one strand was bent so badly that it struck the grinder housing. i snipped off 8 stray wires. the wheel works fine. no wires were thrown. i have seen higher priced wire wheels that look nicer, but this seems to work well. i had to remove the outer grinder wheel housing so it wouldn’t interfere with the wire wheel, but i hear that is common issue with wire wheels.
