I’ve been using this brand/size of wheel for about 4 years now. Works great for knocking off light rust, mill scale, and deburring edges. They last well unless you get a little too aggressive with the pressure. Then, it breaks down real fast and you’ll have 20 wires sticking out of your t-shirt and the wheel reduces in diameter by 25%. Good for light/medium duty. If you have a heavy need, step up to something more industrial strength.

This wire wheel is adequate for basic clean-up on metal surfaces. There were a significant number of loose wires right from the start and you need to wear a face shield to keep these from striking your face; goggles are not sufficient. It is coarse so if you want to make brass or aluminum look nice you need to buy a finer wire wheel for sure.
