So far so good, although there are a lot of negative reviews out there about its reliability over time. I’ve only used it twice so far – it’s powerful, and I like that the self-propulsion is fast; it makes cutting time short. You should be aware that if you run it out of gas, either by draining the tank or turning the petcock, it will take 8 to 10 pumps of the primer to start it the next time, not 3 as it normally would. I had a couple questions assembling it and customer service/tech support was very helpful.

The discharge is on the opposite side of the mower and that takes a while to get use to. On/off switch and gas valve are poor quality. Needs either a higher rpm or slower self propelled drive speed, as it does not cut cleanly at current speed and rpm.

Had problems putting mower together…handle assembly was bent. Mower is very hard to control when using. When speed bar is engaged mower takes off. Cannot be controlled to be used to trim around bushes or other plants.

it cuts like a beast, has plenty of power and flies through tall grass. I don’t have the variable speed model so you need track shoes to keep up with it. Starts first pull and cuts down on mowing time. I would have given it 5 stars but the pin in the gear box broke after the third mowing leaving me having to figure out on how to fix it because the ” instruction ” book is worthless. It doesn’t give an exploded view of the ” transmission”… so if it happens to you and you’re not handy …good luck

The grass sometimes gets jammed in the outlet… having to stop, clean out, and start again too often. Cut nicely and moves quickly which is good.
