Bought this 25 months ago. Within 12 months, catastrophic engine drive shaft failure. Fought for 3 months to get the company to honor the warranty. Home Depot ignored me. Not their problem. BBB complaint led to a new engine that a local company had to install. Now 12 months later, another failure of the same drive shaft. So went out and bought a Billy Goat. I suspect the root problem is their heavy cast impeller used to create the air flow being off center and hanging off the end of the drive shaft. Coupled with a cheap China engine and you get a failure. So why a glowing review? Because past review with less than 5 stars was removed by Home Depot. Seems like Home Depot is trying to out-junk competitors like Harbor Freight. So if looking for a piece of crap power equipment, this is the thing to buy.As for my Billy Goat, 208cc 5.5 hp Briggs and Stratton with a plastic impeller. $639.99. You get what you pay for. Made in the USA. The only way to go. Now, let’s see if this review sticks. 5 Stars. What could be wrong with it.

The unit arrived in a large box and required very little assembly. (only wheels needed mounting and handle bar extended.) Instructions were very clear. From box to startup took about 1/2 hr, including oil and gas fill up. Started on first pull! Why I only gave it an overall 4 instead of 5 star rating is this: Wish the tires were a little fatter for easier maneuvering. I tried to switch them out but the short axle prevented a slightly wider tire to be secured by the cotter pin. The handle bar could be cushioned to absorb the hi vibration that could not be good for your joints and tendons. I taped a foam pipe insulation tube that does a fairly good job of absorbing the shock. Other than the engine being quite noisy and knocking sound, the extreme vibration has caused the intake grill to break at the points where it bolts on to the fan cover. I was disappointed to find out the replacement part is $55 plus shipping & handling! For now I am using duct tape. (frequently!). Aside from this minor quibbling, the unit is very powerful and gets the job done. I have had this Beast for about 2 years with less than 10 hrs use so far. When I took it out of storage, there was some difficulty in starting it. Even though I followed mfg. advise and completely drained the fuel, running the engine until empty carb, there was corrosion and metal debris on the bottom of the inside cup of the carb. This was no doubt caused by the poor quality of ethanol gas we are forced to use that wreaks havoc on our small engines. Can’t fault the product for this. After proper cleaning, unit roared to life as new. BTW, customer service is first class! A few days after contacting them, they followed up with a courteous call to inquire whether I had any success with my problem. They really seemed to care.

I used the leaf blower for the first time on November 5th, 2018. I bought it in October. It worked as expected , and the assembly was not difficult. It has good leaf discharge projection even when the leaves are wet, The other issue that was cumbersome is the discharge is only on one side so you have to push or pull the blower back and forth. (it’s heavy) Turning around or changing direction will send leaves in every direction. The correct type of oil to use in the engine was a bit confusing, because it states one type in the assembly instructions and something different in the engine manual. Had to call the help line for clarification. The front wheel is the only weak point of the whole blower. It binds up when rolling on or turning on uneven surfaces. It would probably work better if the wheel was/were inflated or there was more than one to support the weight of the front end of the blower. Overall, I am satisfied with the product as it makes fast work of leaves.

Starts first pull and runs good. It would be nice to have rubber grips on bars and the wheels could be a little bigger.

as advertised – trouble getting it to start at firs once it started it runs fine

Works great but very hard to pull starter cord. Feels like very high compression.

Minimal assembly required. Blower performed admirably with easy rolling wheels and a very strong air force that blows leaves and pine needles off grass or pavement 4-6 feet away from the blower spout. Motor starts first pull on choke, cancel choke immediately afterward and after a minute or two of warm up and low rpm motor accelerates smoothly to full rpm for relative vibration free performance. I will probably use more frequently then my commercial back pack Echo blower especially as I get older.

The only thing I found was that the tires should be wider and softer to move more easy.

Only issue was the throttle was tight. I loosened the nut just a little and voila!!!!

The Beast blower works great ! I followed the assembly and starting instructions, and it starts and runs good. The control for the blower speed is a nice feature. At full speed this blower moves alot of air and clears leaves easily. I towed it behind my lawn tractor and cleared over an acre with less than one tank of fuel. Im very satisfied with this purchase.

Nice machine. Assembles very easily. One of the wheels is hidden on the bottom of the packaging, I thought it came missing a wheel. It is a powerful machine. Directional air flow is very helpful and easy to change on the fly. Started with the second pull out of the box. Runs well. A little tough to maneuver on uneven ground, but, that is the nature of a three wheel device.

Solid unit. Discharge chute was bent out of square in the box so took some convincing to assemble. Wheels are why this gets only 4 stars. Our lot has a lot of exposed roots and this is a beast to maneuver. So will replace the rear wheels with wider 3 1/4 flat free tires. That might require a new longer axle also. But with 2 acres to deal with, will be worth it. Also will add a foam grip for the handle. It’s billed as commercial but comes up short. A pro expects the best. And for another $20, the manufacturer could deliver a genuine commercial machine.

Easy to assemble and starts in the first or second pull

The machine worked great. The throttle broke the first time I used it. I had to rig it up to use it the remainder of the fall.

Very easy to assemble, has a lot of power. Love how you can control the speed of the wind.

Outstanding performance for leaves and large driveways Have used it multiple times and love it’s performance

I like just about everything about this blower except the front wheel. I have an uneven yard and the front wheel catches on stuff because it is so small and narrow. If it had a way to lock it straight and/or was a little bigger this would be just about perfect. The only other improvement that I can think of would be a padded handle but I plan to add some pipe insulation to help with that. Otherwise, I like all of the features and design and it has worked flawlessly after blowing the leaves off of my 1.5 acre lawn three times so far. Starts on the first pull every time. You really can’t beat this for the price. You would have to spend another $1000 to get significantly better features/capabilities.

Great name for the leaf blower it cleared a couple of acres in no time. Plenty of power shoots leaves a good 10 or 15 feet and saves lots of time. I like that it has a choke and a fuel shut off valve as well as a throttle.
