I bought 2 of these and they work perfectly with an Asus vivobook, Macbook pro 13″ (2016), Galaxy S8 and an adapter. They are thick (in a solid way), feel well made and work perfectly

The cable falls out of the phone’s charging port when your vehicle hits the slightest bump in the road. I hate to give a bad review because it charges my phone just fine, when it stays in the charging port.
