Bought two of these to have longer cables to connect my HD monitor… IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. Good product for data, but false promises to work with video.

When charging a laptop(not MacBook) the gaming experience is unsatisfactory the technology isn’t there yet however this cable charges the laptop with speed and precision so that’s why I gave it 4 Star

I only wish it was a bit longer.

I purchased this cable to use with an ultra HD monitor with my MacBook Pro (2017). It simply does not work with the monitor, even though the description states that it will work with thunderbolt displays, that was not my experience.

use only the best quality cables, go with belkin, tested, verified, 40Gb cable

I wanted a longer USB-C cord for my new monitor. It doesn’t work… where my original monitor USB-C cord does.

I don’t know how the marketing team messes up this so badly. The information on the website is definitely misleading, and the proof of that is the numerous people complaining about the same issue. It’s a great cable quality-wise, just doesn’t have the features that the website says it does. Belkin claims 40Gbps on this 6.5ft cable, which will make this cable active but how can you build a TB3 cable without DP Alt Mode by default? Anyway, this cable most likely will be able to provide PD at 100w, reach data transfer of 40Gbps, but probably will not work on a eGPU’s and for sure doesn’t work to connect your Mac mini or Air M1 to a 4K/144hz display. As an alternative, I know for personal experience that the Belkin 1.6ft/0.8m (F2CD084BT0.8MBK) will be able to do DisplayPort Alt Mode.
