BenQ monitors are definitely best known for their color accuracy and this model is no exception. It has stunning resolution. No regrets at all. However, I do with it had two HDMI inputs as opposed to just one. Also, the built in speakers are terrible. I wasn’t expecting great sound, but I wasn’t expecting the sad tinny noise either. Nevertheless, as a photographer, I do agree that this monitor serves its purpose well.

After researching for some time for a reasonable priced good quality 4k monitor for our architectural firm I settled on the BenQ PD2700U. I originally purchased two monitors and after a couple of weeks in use we ordered a third. Great on screen adjustability whether your viewing CAD files, images, text documents and everything in between there seems to be a setting that suites the job.

I had 3 options: BenQ PD2700U DELL U2718Q LG 27UK850 Decided to proceed with BenQ. My previous monitor was LG 23 IPS and I was not very satisfied with the build quality (personal opinion). Compared all the specs and decided to order the BenQ one. I really like the picture, so many settings and modes. You can adjust height, angle and rotate the screen. Colors are great. No complains at this moment, at all. The menu is clear and simple (on my previous LG monitor it was not very straight forward).

Works well and looks sharp. Using it primarily for non-designer type workstreams. Would recommend for any profession that looks at a computer screen for a good portion of the day.

The BenQ would be great if I could get rid of the flickering

I really needed a great monitor that would match well with my MacBook Pro M1 screen for photo and video editing. I did a lot of research and it came down to this or the LG. When a discount came around, I jumped on this. I like that this has a broader color scale and better color accuracy than the LG. Amazing pixel density and brightness. You don’t need 1000nits if it is being used indoors. BenQ is a very low profile brand but gets tremendous ratings. I started ordering them for users at work and they really loved them and I got to see first hand how well these performed. I plugged this into my OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock via DisplayPort and connected my MacBook Pro M1 via the high wattage USB-C port and boom. The image that comes out of this monitor inspires me to want to get to work, it’s vibrant and didn’t disappoint at all. I also have an iMac, so I know how good retina screens look, this is just as good, just not as bright, but I never have my iMac on full brightness anyway. This is really great because it also has that nice finish that makes it easy on the eyes without diminishing the color and sharpness. Well done BenQ, I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without ever trying you. I may buy another one to have two monitors for my MacBook Pro now.

Coming from a 14 inch laptop screen, which had a blue cast, it feels amazing to have a huge screen with colors I can trust. Before I could never trust my laptop screen for accuracy of colors for my YouTube videos, but now I’m completely confident in the color translation to the world. I have so much room with a higher resolution monitor, and it feels awesome.

I am not going to rehash all the other reviews. What I can add is this. I bought my first one a year ago. It has 4500+ hours on it. It has performed perfectly and been a joy to work with. This week a found a factory refurb unit, it has 500 hours on it. Side by side when I match the settings, match the Windows standard color profile. They look identical. I don’t have to set the older monitor a bit brighter to match, they match visually even though one has 9x more usage hours. I have never seen that before in a monitor. It was a nice discovery.

This monitor has it all and more. Great colors, built in power supply, built in speakers and a 4 port USB hub, etc. I subtracted one star for the only thing that I found to be underwhelming: the built in speakers which sound tinny. If you want a monitor with great sounding built in speakers, this monitor is not for you. Otherwise, this monitor checked off all the important boxes that I wanted. I connected the monitor to an Apple Mac Pro (late 2013) using a thunderbolt 2 port and the monitor’s DP jack using the DP cable provided. The computer displayed the monitor immediately upon boot up of MacOS Big Sur at its native resolution. It also works fine on Windows 10 since I use bootcamp. There is a CD provided with software called Display Pilot in case you want to change monitor settings via software instead of the monitor’s hard menu buttons. This software is slow to load and I found it to be totally unnecessary. In summary this is a great monitor which I totally recommend.

One of the best buys I have made. My workflow on Premiere changed radically.

The monitor is extremely clear and sharp, colors look good. Adjustability is very good. However it is strangely hard on my eyes compared to my previous iMac integrated 5K display. Not sure why that is. According to the OS X system report, in sRGB profile I’m at 4K @ 60Hz with Thunderbolt-to-DisplayPort cable, which should be a good refresh rate. I’ve turned down the brightness quite a lot. Maybe I should try turning down the sharpness too?

I bought two Benq PD2700U 4k 27 monitors. The two monitors come with factory caliberation report, but the color tone are totally different with settings being the same. I can’t match the color temperature even I set the color temperature the same. One of the monitor pleases my eyes, but I am not sure which one’s color is right.

I bought this to replace my Apple Thunderbolt Display for its greater resolution and I didn’t need a webcam on the monitor. Its non glare display is excellent but the speakers are terrible. Overall, however, it cells where needed the most – display.

I am very happy with the product, it is of the best quality, super recommended Benq. Regarding the service also my best comments, a very timely response by B&H, shipping by DHL was super fast, in less than a week I already had my monitor at home in Colombia.

I’ve been this using the monitor for a couple weeks now and it works wonderfully. I’m aware BenQ has a dead pixel issue and I am lucky to say there aren’t any. I use this monitor for graphic design, illustration and video gaming. I took a star off because of this recurring issue: There has a been a couple weird imprints on the screen when I play video games sometimes and when the Steam notifications pop up. It leaves a rectangular imprint on the corner of the screen from where the steam notification pop up alpeared previously. I’m not sure if this is an LCD issue? It goes away when I alt tab but it is still concerning when you consider the longevity / durability of the monitor. I have doubts and concerns it will last at least five years. Other than that weird graphical imprint, the monitor works fine! I wish it came with a displayport cable though… it has displayports but no cable? I have to buy one separately…

I’m a photographer and also shoot and edit video from time to time. Like every other consumer, I went through hundreds of reviews before making a purchase on a monitor to pair with my Mac Mini. I eventually settled on the BenQ after narrowing down my options to the Dell and LG Ultrafine models. I’m happy to report that I’m extremely happy with this purchase and even considering adding a second one. Text is crisp and sharp, the colours are accurate from the box and I love the 4K resolution when watching High quality videos and even HDR content. The display is sleek and the matte finish is stunning. For a photographer or editor keen on accurate colours and a high quality display, without breaking the bank for the higher end monitors that cost $1000, this monitor comes in at a good price point for the quality you get. The only drawback I have is that it’s not USB-C but that isn’t much of a dealbreaker for me.

I am a novice colorist who’s looking to improve my skill with color grading videos & film, so I think this was a great choice for my needs-not as expensive as the very high end monitors that pros use, but with seemingly good enough quality that I can be confident with its representation of colors.

I was looking for a professional grade monitor at a slightly more affordable price and decided on this PD2700U. I have a GW2765HT from BenQ which has done me well but I needed 4K resolution. The only drawback to this monitor is low color accuracy with Adobe RGB and no stated accuracy with P3. That was almost a deal breaker but, for me, those two extras weren’t worth double the price on other monitors. If you’re in the market for one of those, the 2720U or 3220 are the proper choices. If you’re looking for a feature rich monitor with a USB hub, too…this is a great buy.

I had my mind set on an Apple Display to go aside my MacBook Pro. Well, that statement alone tells you how out of the display game I was. I didn’t know they discontinued their displays several years ago. So then I was on the hunt for a good monitor for my graphic design and photography editing needs. I’m LOVING my BenQ so far. For the price… it’s unbeatable! The resolution and color accuracy so far is incredible. I’m overjoyed with my purchase. I’m glad I purchased through B&H versus other retailers, the shipping process and tracking my package was a breeze.
