Unfortunately I bought a copy that had terrible image persistence. any bright windows or graphic elements would leave a trail for several minutes after refreshing the screen. I do not know if this applies to all of these particular models but beware that there may at least be a panel lottery at play. I had to return it since I found it impossible/ incredibly distracting to do any photo or video work on it. B&H handled the return with great care. This is why I continue to shop here.

I am extremely pleased with my BenQ PD2700U monitor. The colors are very accurate and vibrant. If you are doing photo editing or video editing, this display is an excellent choice at an affordable price.

I use this for video editing, and it works like a charm. Color space matches perfectly to my Mac. Love the quality and brightness. Sleek design, too.

I haven’t had any problems with this monitor, and the display is very clear. The included stand has full range of motion. The physical buttons are not labeled, but the on-screen menus are relatively easy to follow, and everything can also be adjusted through the Display Pilot software. The software is a bit complex, though.

Just today i’ve received my monitor. First of all, documentation and cables inside of the box was in terrible condition. Monitor stand and bottom of monitor are full of scratches. It seems that it was used before. I ordered it from BH website and transported to Azerbaijan by transportation company. All labels on the box was on their places.

My BenQ completely failed. I contacted CS, and after being on hold for hours finally talked to someone. He had me do a couple of things then confirmed it had failed. He was supposed to send me a form for replacement, form never came. Since then I have emailed, sent support tickets and called numerous times. Been on hold multiple times for hours only to get disconnected. If you try and leave a message it says mailbox is full. No response to email or support ticket submittal. Called again, I’ve been on hold now for 5 hours and still no one has taken my call. This really sucks… I have no recourse its past the 60 days to dispute the charges. I’d not buy from BenQ.

Great image quality, and excellent color straight out of the box. A 4K image is 8.4 Mb, and the large display shows me images accurately enough to make enlargements for display without test printings. The image is very sharp – any focus problems are immediately apparent. I have a couple of ergonomic quibbles. There are no USB ports on the side, as many other monitors have, and a dedicated button for the KVM switch feature would be nice to have.

Worked fine out of the box, heavier than I expected, brighter, sharper, and more connectivity options than I will need. The improved stand is well built.

Having been in the computer business for decades and having also been involved in graphic design since the mid-’80s, I’ve interacted with a fairly large number of monitors. I really like how easy it was to put this monitor’s stand together. I really like the image quality and knowing that what I see is faithful to the actual content. I like the easy of raising and lowering the monitor. I like how sturdy the base is. I do not — at all — BenQ’s implementation of their KVM function. I’ve read the manual (downloaded from their site, not included in the box) and do not believe that I am misunderstanding how the unit’s KVM function works. If I *am* misunderstanding, by all means correct me. If I’m not, I think that it is illogical, incomplete and quite cumbersome. What I am used to [with the dozens of KVMs I own and have owned] is that when I switch to a computer, I get its audio. With the PD2700U, unless I’m missing something, you don’t get the switched-to unit’s audio. This seems grossly illogical, so I’m hoping I’m misunderstanding how the unit functions. I also didn’t like the poor excuse of a Quick-Start Guide that was in the box. Illustrations are fine, but would it kill ya to also include some written instructions? I have bailed on using the KVM features and have gone back to using a standalone KVM and only using the PD2700U as a display. I would like to use all the features I paid for, but this is the only way I can get functionality for now. I’ll update this review if I have additional insight. My verdict 24 hours in is that the unit’s image is fantastic, but that the UI leaves a lot to be desired.

I had uniformity problems with a display from a different manufacturer, so ended up returning it and trying this. I wish this BenQ had USB-C, but I actually only need HDMI in my setup. Great uniformity and color accuracy! What I love most – LOVE, LOVE, LOVE – is the ability to manually pick the color gamut (e.g. Rec.709 when I want to watch from my Blu-ray Player or Roku). Seems so simple for a manufacturer to give users that option, but I haven’t found many that do. That alone makes me a very happy customer! Recommended.

I absolutely love this monitor. The 4K is crisp, the color is excellent, and it runs like a dream. I initially used it on HDMI, but for a two-monitor connection I switched to the displayport cable included in the box. It caused flickering of both audio and screen that were extremely distracting and annoying. I learned after searching the web that uncertified Displayport cables often cause this kind of problem and may even fry your computer and/or monitor!!!!! Needless to say, I instantly purchased a replacement cable and everything works great now. Love the monitor, but disappointed I had to buy a $20 cable because BENQ was too cheap to include a certified cable in the box.

I am thrilled with my BenQ monitor. I am not a professional photographer. But I do spend many hours each day before a monitor. This is brighter, has enough connections to clean up my desktop, and was relatively easy to set up. It is a relief to know the colors I am seeing in Lightroom are the actual colors (or pretty darn close).

The audio is just nonsense. While a cheap pair of speakers fixed that easily enough, something this pricey should have decent sound.

This monitor is plenty big enough and the calibration tools are very easy to install and use. It’s completely revamped my workflow when using my editing softwares both photo and video.

Accurate color and a good choice to match up with a Mac Mini. Physical assembly is very easy, but menus are a little tricky. Recommend downloading the full manual and checking out the Youtube reviews.

I decided I needed a brighter monitor with much more accurate colors for my editing in Lightroom. An associate convinced me I would appreciate a 27 inch monitor compared to the 24 inch monitors I had been researching. This was perfect! Brighter. Uses less energy than others, convenient hub, and so far am thrilled with the colors. Half the price than some I considered and hundreds less than others.

I did a lot of research, looking for monitors that would be especially good for editing photographs in Lightroom and Photoshop. All in all this monitor lives up to the expectations. Colors are right on. Blacks are deep, though I did have to ratchet down brightness . Responds quickly. Some nits that kind of take the edge of the experience. Tech support is awful. The wait on the phone is endless. Support has yet to answer an email sent two days ago. I know, I know. The coronavirus pandemic has messed with a lot of things. But let it be noted that BH said the monitor would arrive at 10:30 a.m. two days after I ordered it. Okay, big deal, it arrived at 10:45 a.m. Second nit: The monitor’s multiple plugs are underneath the bottom edge. When you first set up the monitor you lay the monitor flat–on a protective material–and then plug in the HDMI and other cables. But once the monitor is upright it is a real struggle to plug and unplug cables. A real pain. Third nit: The monitor is supposed to support charging of other devices such as the iPad and iPhone. The instructions could have made it a lot clearer that the monitor needs to be connected to the computer via a USB cable in order for the monitor to fulfill it charging duties. I found that out on a Google search in which I sought to find out why my iPad was not charging. Still, the charging utility is not an unalloyed joy: It is excruciatingly slow. But once you get over these hurdles you’ll put the monitor to good use. JJF

The monitor is beautiful and worked right out of the box – in spite of a lot of guesswork about which cables to use. The manual which I eventually found online gives no instructions for use with a Mac, so it was trial and error to get it hooked up and to use the USB ports in the monitor. The 90 pivot works well but is awkward because the cords all need to move with the monitor, and system display settings need to be changed each time. Otherwise, the stand is great with easy side-to-side rotation, adjustments of height and viewing angle.
