You will find a dedicated button on this monitor allowing you to turn the HDR feature on and off when needed.
In addition to HDR support, this BenQ monitor also features a 3840 x 2160 UHD 4K resolution, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, and support for over 1.07 billion colors generating a clear picture regardless of the content being viewed.
Setup is simple as the EL2870U comes equipped with both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs along with a headphone jack. Dual built-in 2 W speakers complete the multimedia experience. Once configured, viewers can take advantage of a variety of features designed to further enhance the viewing experience, which includes AMD FreeSync technology for reduced image tearing during intense gaming sessions, specialized video entertainment modes, and built-in eye-care technology to reduce eye fatigue.

Not sure what to say about a monitor really. The color tones are soft on this one, contrast settings are great. The save-your-eyes mode is wonderful.

I’m really delighted with this monitor. I had a 32 BenQ that was unfortunately shoved off my desk by accident. It was always just a little big. This one has a compact footprint and gives me a clear and bright image. It’s also secured to my desk.

Got this today with 4 days delay (FedEx’s fault, not B&H). I was trying to figure out why the colors were so washed out and I figured out the only way to make this look good is to tilt the monitor way up. That’s right, the best viewing is at a weird angle, head on is terrible. Move just a smidge to the side and the color temperature becomes super warm. The other thing is that the included hdmi cable only supports 4k at 30fps, which is really annoying when connecting it to a 60fps Macbook. I’ll probably return this and get a Dell or LG.
