With an 1800R curvature, the EX3501R 35″ 21:9 Curved LCD Monitor from BenQ is designed to offer the viewer an all-encompassing, cinematic viewing experience. In addition to the curvature of the screen, this monitor also features a 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio to provide more screen space than traditional 16:9 displays. To complete the immersive viewing experience, BenQ has included HDR support in this display, which helps to create a dynamic picture with deep dark and bright light colors.
Setup and configuration of the EX3501R monitor is simple as it comes equipped with both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs as well as USB connectivity. The built-in USB Type-C port makes it easy to connect a wide variety of USB enabled peripherals directly to the display. Once configured, this monitor offers a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 2500:1 contrast ratio, a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, a 100 Hz refresh rate, and a 4 ms response time to provide a clear picture with reduced ghosting and blur. The EX3501R even covers 100% of the sRGB color space, making this monitor a great tool for graphics artists and those working on projects where color accuracy is a must.

Benq assembles the EX3501R for you, which in itself is rather nice of them. However, mine has a tilt/or out of level lean to one side going on. This is a 35 monitor folks – so that one mount point in the middle is a fulcrum and if it ain’t perfectly aligned, then it ain’t aligned!! Annoying of all get out, and hopefully when I have some free time I’ll take it apart and try to get it leveled.

Great monitor. Good color accuracy after a bit of adjustment. HDR should be disabled on this panel. Don’t buy any monitor for HDR as this is more of a gimmick currently without local dimming zones like miniLED or OLED panels. HDR make colors look washed out and causes blacklight bleeding. Outside of HDR this is a great purchase with good picture quality.

This monitor has a great design, and the specs are perfect. 4K, 21:9 100Hz with HDR support. I swapped the monitor due to the dead pixels and backlight bleed twice. Every monitor has couple dead pixels and a very significant backlight bleed. VA panel with backlight bleed like this is simply assembly fault. But a lot of thanks to B&H, they have wonderful customer care. Benq’s custom service is simply not helpful at all.

I use this monitor for photo editing and love all the space I have on a single monitor. Color is good with a bit of calibration and so far I really like the curved screen.

So far love ever thing about it except the amount of forward tilt the monitor has, it in my mind use a bit more and less back tilt.

Great monitor that I purchased almost a year ago (11 months in use). It is also about to become a rare purchase from me that required a query with potential quality issues. And in this case, quality isn’t about poor performance as it is a great multipurpose monitor, rather build. Having been in a corner office, it was rarely touched, and about a week ago, I turned it off at night having worked from home. Next morning, turning it on revealed a vertical crack on the inside about a third from the left edge (no impact, or damage visible from the frame). Since it is past return period, B&H asked me to contact BenQ directly. I explained the issue, and sent pictures to BenQ, and received a response next day: sorry, we don’t cover damage, but will give you 15% discount on next purchase, and BTW, this model is no longer available and has been replaced with EX3503, so we recommend you getting a refurbished unit of that model. Really? Not only is EX3503 a downgrade, but that was a lousy response. So while I’m in no hurry, now I’m back in market and decided not to shop for another BenQ.

First off, let me say that I am a computer professional, I build them and write my own software for them. I am a degreed Electrical Engineer and started working with PC’s when Computers were just being developed. The monitor arrived in perfect condition. No defects whatsoever. No dead pixels, no blurring and capable of handling everything my $4,000 PC with a 2016 gtx980Ti video card could throw at it. It is my first curved monitor and I am still adjusting to the 3440×1440 max resolution. So much room now on my desktop. In a 21:9 aspect ratio that is quite large. The colors are beautiful. It is sharp and clear. No text bleedover, clear, and sharp It arrived within 4 days of its order date and 2 days after it shipped via FedX. Setup was easy (for me). Only the sound tripped me up at first because the default audio device is the Monitor and not my headset as previously setup. That was soon corrected. The User Manual says to restart your computer and after rebooting it would run the new hardware wizard. It did not. I had to set it up manually myself. Reviews said that a full sized male to male Display Port to Display Port cable was not included. Sadly, It and had already ordered one when it arrived WITH a DP to DP cable in the box. I’d advise you to wait and see if there is one in your box like in mine had if you decide to buy this monitor. I would have liked to see labels for the button/menu controls. I made my own to make it easier for me as the buttons are not visible from the front. Other than that, I am very pleased with this monitor. Sorry, tried to upload images but could not get to the folder to select the image from my tablet or cell phone.
