Designed to safeguard eye health by automatically adjusting brightness levels as per the ambient light, the GW2480T 23.8″ 16:9 Eye-Care IPS Monitor for Students from BenQ also helps reduce your exposure to blue light and reduces flicker, both of which can further decrease eye fatigue and irritation. For those with congenital color deficiencies, Color Weakness mode can help those affected to better see the true colors of the world. Further adjustments can be made using a vertical tilt of -5 to 20°, a -45 to 45° swivel, a 90° pivot, and a height adjustment of 5.5″.
The GW2480T features a 1920 x 1080 native resolution, as well as an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel, 8-bit support for 16.7 million colors, a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 93 ppi, and a 5 ms response time. Using the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position. This display has one DisplayPort 1.2 port, one HDMI 1.4 port, and one VGA port. Audio can be output using the 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as the dual 1W speakers. There is also a 3.5mm audio input. BenQ has engineered the GW2480T with support for 72% of the NTSC color gamut and a 100 x 100mm VESA mount.

Much easier on the eyes than my other monitors.

The frame less design looks nice and the picture quality is really good. Set up was easy using an HDMI cable. I also like the option for adjusting the picture. Not sure yet how the eye strain aspect works. Great monitor for the price.

I got this one, because no flickering or blue light. Eliminates eye strain. It has an adjustable height stand, so you don’t need to set it up on some books for a decent height. It has tiny speakers which don’t sound that good, so make sure you get some external speakers for your computer if you like music or good sound.

I needed height adjustable monitors for my sit stand desk, these were the best value I could find that had no bezel and had all the eye care technologies. I also have used BenQ monitors for years and love them.

This is the most energy efficient and adjustable high resolution monitor at a fantastic price point! If you want to save your eyes and your wallet and your planet, this is the monitor for you!. Even the small things are done well, like the multiple inputs and the illuminated power switch that reminds you to save even more when you suspend/sleep your PC. They got this one right.

My first IPS monitor, the GW2480T replaced an aging (and slowly dying) Asus VH236H. To say I’m impressed would be an understatement. The color accuracy is top notch (for the price range, anyway–while it’s accurate, it can’t fully cover the sRGB gamut), and colors seem to pop more than they did on my old monitor. Pixel response time is plenty fast–at default, there is no notable ghosting, at least that I can see. It’s a solid 60htz gaming monitor, and isn’t bad for hobbyist digital art. It’s a major upgrade from my old monitor, and for the price, I’d say it probably can’t be beat.
