This is a nice tool to have – especially if you are into having wine parties and don’t want to fuss with corks. This comes in a charging cradle. The first charge of the unit takes approximately 8 hours. Each charge is good for 30 bottles per the direction booklet. Each subsequent charge will take between 6 and 8 hours. To use the opener, you just take off the foil seal on your bottle using a cutter that is included and place it on the top of the bottle. Then turn it on and it does the rest. One end of the button uncorks the bottle. The other end lets go of the cork. It fits easily into the hand and is not very heavy. No more coiling a corkscrew by hand. No more off center corkage that leaves remnants in the wine! This is a pricey item, but worth it if you are in to wine…or don’t want to mess with corkscrews. It is made by BerHOFF, Belgium. The only issue I had was the original box came with an European adapter plug. I was put in contact with the manufacturer and they sent an American plug. You can also find adapters online.

This Electric Rechargeable Wine Opener makes your life a whole lot easier opening up your wine bottles. It comes with a foil cutter making it real easy to cut the foil off the wine bottle. You will need to charge the battery before you start opening the bottles. It does have a small charge on the battery. The manufacture recommends charge it for 8 hours to get it fully charged. On a full charge it should open 25 to 30 bottles. The motor seems to be strong when opening up the bottle; it does not seem to bog the motor when uncorking the wine bottle. It comes in a cradle to store when you are charging it. The only drawback is the red light stays on, it does not indicate that is full charge or not. I did have an issue with them sending me the wrong electrical plug type (international plug). I got in contact with the manufacture and the send the correct electrical plug.

Very nice battery operated wine opener. Operates very smoothly. Needed the required charge before using but then most battery charged items need this. I received this item directly from the manufacturer which had a European model charger enclosed. After a quick phone call this was quickly rectified. The response was what I expect from a manufacturer. The only issue I have is the operational directions (Yes I read them) did not have a contact number. I found the contact number on the UPS label. I think a contact number should be with the directions. I still highly recommend this item. If you are a wine drinker you need this!

This rechargeable wine opener does a quick job of opening your wine bottles with very little effort. I used the included foil cutter to neatly and quickly get the foil off the bottle top. Then I simply placed the opener on the top of the upright bottle and pressed the lower part of the button. You can hear it activate turning the corkscrew down into the cork. Once the cork is removed, press the upper part of the button to release the cork. it’s as simple as that! I did receive the wrong cord in the box, appeared to be an international cord but all it took was contacting Berghoff and they sent the replacement right away. Definitely recommend.
