This is one of those “It Depends” appliances. Its about 4″ longer than our standard top loading two slice toaster and that lenght is required to slide out the end loading toaster tray. It does a fair job of toasting two only slices of normal size loaf bread as long as you dont mind the stripes from the holding rack. Three slices fit, but the outside 3/4 of each end slice does not toast at all.Larger sliced bread, it does not toast the top of the bread, but you can put one piece one way and turn the other piece upside down and if making a sandwich you will have a bite of toast in every bite with one slice having an untoasted part and the other toasted. Pop tarts, frozen waffles do the same as the regular loaf size bread…fair job of toasting as long as you dont mind the stripes. It easily heats biscuts and rolls (we ran it thru the test this evening LOL) .As a toaster oven, which we did not try yet, I see it as having limited capabilities for rewarming only but it says it will do frozen fish fingers (I assume Fish Sticks in the USA) but it really escapes me as to the how. Same for frozen mini pizza….seems all would slide off of it propped up vertically as it wont fit otherwise. It is very well made and looks great sitting in the kitchen. Color change fronts are available for purchase and they double as a serving tray if desired and attach with magnets that are built into the toasterMy bottom line opinion is a top loading toaster would be as good if not better a choice to make toast.A Toaster Oven would be a better choice for the other functions, but if your willing to accept the limited abilities of this as a toaster oven and are trying to avoid buying two appliances to eat up counterspace, this may just be the perfect appliance for you and your kitchen..

I really like this toaster. Once I got past the instruction error. They said to first press the power button then set the time setting. I thought it didn’t work after not heating for quite a while. So I tried to set the timer first then push the power button and it worked. I thought the clamp would crush a piece of soft bread because of the tension but It didn’t. The elements on both side aren’t coils. They’re about 1/2″ diameter “rods” as long as the toaster. Nice that you can heat many things a toaster won’t. Easy to clean also.

This toaster is a bit funky. Loading from the side is unusual, the problem is trying to keep things upright while putting them in. Big things like bread works fine, small things such as “fish fingers” tend to fall over while others are being added. There is a guide provided with the toaster which is only moderately useful as it is based on English foods. It’s easy enough to translate “fish fingers” to “fish sticks” and “crumpets” to “English muffins”, but breads are not completely compatible. We use a popular American brand of bread for toast, which is too wide, the ends don’t get toasted if we actually put 2 in there. The English bread is more square which would work a lot better. That being said, this unit does a far better job of Toaster Pastries than our regular one as they are warm throughout without being scorched. The claim made about this toaster is that whatever you put in (and it is quite versatile) does not get immolated, and this is quite true. It also does not necessarily get cooked enough on the recommended setting and cooking time. Reading their guide is hard as it shows the black letters on gray in small print, need to have really good light or maybe even a magnifying glass on hand.

Very stylish and energy efficient at 850 watts. The outside panel is available in 4 colors: French Cream, Black, Crimson Red and Metallic Silver. This toaster has a nice slim design. Doesn’t take up a lot of room on the counter. When using it however, it is easier to have the toaster drawer facing you.I like that it toasts more than just bread and waffles. It comes with a 2 sided guided and the recommendations on toast settings for the different products. The drawer which holds your food it easy to use and clean. I like that it beebs when it is finished toasting. Also on the outside of the box is a 5 step quick start guide.

This Serena Toaster is great for so many things! It’s like a toaster oven but better! I am pleasantly surprised at it’s versatility and uniqueness. It has a variety of toaster settings so even the most fussiest person will be happy. It is very easy to operate and it even comes with a detailed sheet that you can keep close by to use it for reference. Take the time to read the information about the settings as it is very helpful when heating up different items like pizza, frozen foods, etc. It takes up such little counter space (always a plus) yet does such big jobs! It is very nice quality and made to last and looks neat and stylish. I love that the rack pulls out long-wise and that you can fit long items as well as multiple round and square items in it. It is amazingly easy to clean and since the rack pulls out, nothing ever gets stuck inside. Wonderful!I LOVE it and HIGHLY recommend it!
