These are exceptionally affordable when you buy the set of clamping fixtures (head and tail piece), and then attach them to a length of iron black pipe (not included). A nice feature of the BESSEY “H” series pipe clamp fixtures is their height. The extra high base provides industry leading clearance from the work surface. Clamping fixtures are available to fit 1/2 in. and 3/4 in. black pipe. The 3/4 in. Pipe Clamp is designed to be used on any length of 3/4 in. black pipe. This clamp has a clutch disc design for easy adjustments and can be secured at any point along the bar. This clamp meets the rigorous demands of commercial shops, school shops, woodworking or metalworking users.
- “H” shaped foot assembly stabilizes the clamp in two dimensions giving dual-axis stability
- Extra high base provides industry leading clearance from the work surface
- Cast jaws for durability, smooth action spindle
- Soft protective pads included
- Clamping strength and opening size are dependent on length of pipe used (not included)

These clamps are great. I use them on long pipe for glue-ups in woodworking, and they give me unlimited flexibility on length. And they provide plenty of pressure. I have four sets, and I expect them to last the rest of my lifetime.

Very nice pipe clamp, sturdy base. The only thing I don’t like is how easy the bumpers come off. I plan on buying more in the future.

A more affordable option for a 48″ clamp. Worked great for me in making a barn door. If you need variety, you can pair it with several lengths of pipe to change pipe sizes for your needs. Alternatively you just buy one for each length you need and you still come out to paying a fraction of the cost of full clamps. Probably best for longer clamp needs as small clamps are already pretty inexpensive

The pads slipped off on a tabletop glue up. I’m going back to the Irwin clamps.

If you’re a handyperson I sincerely suggest you get this gadget, it will have its purpose sooner or later. The 3/4 inch more sturdy and galvanized threaded pipe at homedepot ( $24/ 10 ft cut to two sizes) better. Items like this doesn’t stay on shelves 4ever…at least get the clamp and store it away.

I like this one. The only drawback is that you have to thread the pipe into the pipe clamps. Other than that it’s pretty awesome.

It’s Bessey, they are great at making clamps. These guys worked well as pipe clamps and provide a very strong clamping force. The little legs at the bottom are ideal when doing table top glue ups as you are able to reach underneath and scrape off glue with the work piece being off the ground. The only slight annoyabce is sometimes the plastic bit around the metal parts may slide off but it has only happened occasionally and stayed on most of the time through multiple clamp jobs.

Had to grind inside the slide end . To tight to fit pipe.
