I’ll be quite candid and say that I will probably never be cranking down on this vise real hard for anything that I have to do around my house. Out of the box, my particular unit had jaws that lined up perfectly with a gripping texture good enough for my needs. The vise is very loose and wobbly when all the locks are loosened but all that is removed when you tightened it down and actually use it.
