Well packed and packed with features! This heavy weight delivers on what was advertised and looks good on my bench. It’s already too dirty to return and it has performed very well.I recommend it highly.

I liked the over sized anvil, excellent clamping strength, the 180 degree swivel makes this vise very functional, perfect price for the home owner,or small business,I believe this vise will last me forever, definitely reaches my expectations, purchased it about five weeks ago.

This vise is actually pretty nice. The clamping power is more than adequate for its size and the swiveling base is a convienent feature for those odd-ball and longer parts. The 3 mounting holes are enough to hold this vise down with some good bolts, too! Here it comes… HOWEVER…The flat anvil on the back of the vise is quite small, but I guess it’ll do for a 4″ vise. My biggest (and I guess the only) problem I have with this vise is that the metal used for the flat anvil could be aged/hardened more. Tapping a threaded insert with a roll pin punch into a metal tube proved to be a little much for it. Along the edge of the anvil the metal actually deformed, gummed, and chipped away, almost as if it were made of “O” material (for the metal guys). The center of the anvil took some normal wear and tear, but still, the tapping on the tube (which was in a vertical position) left some slight gouges in it. No, I wasn’t wailing on the thing either!!All in all, it’s a good vise. I’d still highly recommend this for anyone looking for a 4″ benchtop vise. Just be mindful, if you plan on doing a lot of anvil work, expect it to deteriorate fairly quickly around the edges, and possibly the center of the anvil.

I bought this one to replace a similar vise I destroyed a month ago. This one seems to be better cast than my other one so I hope it holds up better.

Its been about a month of normal use. Gave it 5 stars for being great for the home garage. Worth mentioning that this has only 3 mounting holes—which works fine for my work bench.

Not really a heavy duty bench vice… Put a piece of exhaust hanger tube in the vice an use Harbor freight vice grips to bend the tube and the vice shattered!? My $3 harbor freight vice grips and old mild steel tube are fine…… The vice lasted for about 2 months… I guess I will give the 6in vice a shot.

This vise is just the right size for my somewhat smallish workbench. The workbench is 24″ by 48″ and I don’t need a monster vise, just something to hold small to medium sized pieces. It rotates 360 degrees, tightens down very easily, and holds tight. I mounted it by drilling three 5/16″ holes in the corner of the workbench. The hole locations were easy to mark through the mounting holes in the base of the vise. I used 2″ long hex bolts, washers and nuts (the bolts go through the vise base, and the nuts and washers go on from under the workbench surface. This takes advantage of the fact that my workbench has just enough overhang from its frame, which also makes it easy to clamp stuff to the workbench. If I need to get the vise out of the way, removing it is just a matter of unscrewing the three bolts and lifting it off.

Easy to mount. Had to bend 1/4″ flat steel 36″ long-had to use a 36″ pipe for leverage and pounded it with a 3lb. sledge. Took the abuse and asked for more. Looked like it was returned (box was retaped) and the screw has a couple of stops but seemed to smooth out after a couple of uses. You can tell it’s made of a decent metel where it’s machined-maybe not the best but it’s not garbage. Good for the $59.
