Haven’t really used this yet but it is set up and looks like a good tool.

A light/medium duty vise that should stand up to moderate use in a home shop. Good castings and smooth operation. Lock screws are a bit wimpy and won’t take abuse for long, but they shouldn’t need to be abused to work correctly.

Seems to be good quality, I have only used it once so far.

I like the fact that this vice has a distance gauge in the top of the slide but its missing a degree gauge on the rotation collar. It also has a set screw on the rotational axis so the vice can be loaded with a unequal load and not rotate. The overall fit and finish is good, and overall the feel when using the vice is good. Everything works smooth and there is no binding on the slide or the swivel base. This is a good vice and would be okay for home use, its just not stout enough for all the things that a shop might use it for. The Acme bolt that clamps the jaws together is small. At least it seems small. Pressing a small automotive “U” joint apart and back together can be done but its not easy on this vice. I know that it’s not meant to be a press but this is one operation that a really good vice should be able to do.The faces of the main jaws are aggressive enough to hold most hard surfaces but not so aggressive that they make indents into it. They are also removable so a pair of soft jaws could be fitted to them. Some vices don’t have this option. This vice has both internal and external pipe jaws only the external jaws are removable.Overall it’s a good vice for home use but may fall short in a shop that uses it hard.

It offered the flexibility I wanted of a pipe and bench vise, and the rotation feature allowed greater flexibility in positioning my work. The price was reasonable for the quality and features. I had been looking for a vice for some time, and have not found one with the features I wanted at a reasonable price. This vice fits my needs at a reasonable price.

This is a perfect bench vice for your HOME use. I read some of the reviews that said it’s not heavy duty enough but I can’t imagine what they’re doing with it? It has more features than most people will ever need. And especially once you factor in the price! I’ve been trying to find one used and you can’t find a decent one for under 100 bucks. For under 100 with tax this is a great buy. By half-inch bolts, lock washers and nuts while you’re there.

A little high in price but you get what you pay for. This thing is easy to use and has many configurations it can be set up for. I would highly recommend this one if you need a vice that can be set up to hold many different types of materials.

This is a good BUDGET heavy vise for most of your jobs, if your the basic backyard mechanic type. The vise seemed to be made of good quality. However, as stated in other reviews, the jaws are not replaceable and they are heavily covered with paint. I mounted this unit with 1/2″ bolts through my workbench top and frame, with fender washers and nuts underneath. What really upset me was, when I opened the package, the winding and rotating of the vise, seemed gritty and stiff. I spend about an hour cleaning out metal shavings (from production), and relubing the vise (why I did not give 5 stars).. After that, It work smooth like butter! I also bought the magnetic jaw covers which I really like. Overall, for the price, I believe, and hope, that this vise will provide me many years of great service and reliability. Good Luck!
