A valuable accessory for hardened and serrated metal jaw bench vises is a good set of protective non-marring jaws for times when you need to grip a finished surface without damaging it. BESSEY’s BV-NVJ nylon vise jaws are hard enough to be durable yet supple enough to protect finished surfaces. Easy to attach and remove, they fasten quickly onto steel vise jaws with 2 magnets. V-grooved to aid in holding irregular or rounded surfaces.

Well designed product. The jaws are a little softer than I expected. The are probably non marring for every wood except balsa and even then they could be used with a little care.

Works as advertised. Using them on my 3 inch bench vise. Didn’t cut them down, gave me more gripping surface. Magnets hold them in place very well. Put my cast iron grates in to make some adjustments, got no marks on the metal. Very satisfied with this purchase.

These work well on my Craftsman vise.They are softer than I expected, but as long as you take that into account they do what they are supposed to do.They are better at gripping larger items as very small items will deform them too much to get a good grip.They did not work well for 6AN and 8AN hose assembly. They are just too soft to maintain grip.That was disappointing. The magnets work well, but, of course, they pick up metal shavings from drilling, etc.I’d like to see the durometer listed in the product spec so I can get an idea about the hardness of the material before purchasing.For smaller items that need non-marring grip, I think I’d need copper or tin jaw covers. That’s not Bessey’s fault.
