They work very well for me. The handles are easy to grip, the bars stay straight, and the plastic pads allow you to peel the glue (the urethane glue with the primate on the label) in the event that you use too much. The 24” version will open to a maximum distance of 23-1/4”.

Puts down some serious clamping force but at the same time it can dent the wood if you don’t put a larger contact plate in between the contact points.

This product is a step ahead of some of the other clamps I have. You can never have enough clamps. And I find using the right size clamp for a project is really important especially when doing complicated glue ups. Clamps that are too big can just get unwieldy and slow you down when speed is critical. I really like the increased throat depth of these clamps and the handles are much easier to grip when tightening. And as they are about half the price of the trigger style clamps and only a few dollars more than the light duty version of this clamp, I consider them to be reasonable value.

Used two of the bar clamps to clamp a 2″x8″x8′ pressure treated board on the railings, in the corner of a porch. I mounted a vice on the board, and use it as a mini work bench for projects.

These 24” Beasley Clutch Clamps are substantial; nothing light weight here. They exert a tremendous amount of pressure and stay put. I find them easy to use. The only criticism is that the end of the clamp (opposite to the clamp head) has four razor sharp edges. Clearly a manufacturing oversight.
